Re: Problem solved...
No I didn't, but from what you have said the Twitter crowd wouldn't have any use for such a thing because the room available on Twitter is enough for them.

Re: Problem solved...
Twitlonger isn't Twitter. It's a 3rd party tool that just provides a link within a tweet back to twitlonger.
I can do no more than explain it to the best of my ability. It's either my fault for not being clear enough or your's for being a bit dense. My guess is it's more about you refusing to admit your first impressions on Twitter were wrong due to being ill-informed and ignorant. I mean, you've just admitted you had no idea there was something that existed which gave users the ability to tweet longer and share it.
Regardless, I've done my bit. I'll leave you to plod off to Myspace, where you have much more flexibility and functionality than Facebook. Because no one would use Facebook when Myspace offers so much more.....right?

I'm less of a fan of Twitter than you are, as you may have gathered, therefore there is less chance I would know about this Twitlonger thing - and besides it is not centrally to do with Twitter anyway, as you have just pointed out.
As far as plodding off is concerned, I will happily do my lengthy exchanges on Facebook, and short exhanges too - and I will keep using Twitter (or should I say "kp usin T'ter") when the person only has that as a means of contact.
Imagine if all means of chat on the interntet were as short as Twitter is, this exchange on here could not have taken place - as me, you, and everyone else, has entered long text replies.
I mentioned earlier about how one day someone will probably invent a 'chatbite' phone where you can only talk for 30 seconds. There will probably be a little voice counting you down to when it will run out: "20 seconds remaining", "10 seconds remaining" etc. People will just issue bullet-points to each other in the brief time available.
I can't wait to enjoy all of its advantages.

It's not about being a fan. It's about the realisation that just because I might not like something, I can still see why it may have merit to others. You're a little more myopic in this. You cannot see the advantages of Twitter and so Twitter is crap........and all those that do find it's usefulness must be sheep. The problem is Twitter and it's 250billion users per day, not Max Tranmere.

Why not Myspace. It allows you to do so much more than Facebook. Using your own logic Facebook is crap and Facebookers are sheep. Facebook is a poor man's Myspace. Who the hell would want to use Facebook where you can't change the colour scheme or formatting, when Myspace gives you that option?

Then that would be very limiting, wouldn't it? Luckily we can use Twitter, which comes without it's intrusive creepiness and social pressures, or Myspace, where we can design and socialise till our heart's content. Then there's this muddly middle ground where we have this thing called Facebook that's neither one thing or the other. God knows why anyone would use it! Morons!

More than once if my memory serves me well. It's a pity for you I brushed that silly hypothetical scenario aside instantly by pointing out texting fulfils that little niche.
I can't wait to enjoy all of its advantages.
Then you don't get why anyone would text, then.
I really don't know who's more stupid, here. You for being so blockheaded or me for continually banging my head against the proverbial brick wall trying to explain it all. Just how many teachers of yours had any hair left by the time you'd left school?

Fuck off! You called everyone who uses Twitter a 'sheep' and you get all pissy when I point out you're a bit thick.
I'm continually fascinated and amazed by the characters on here!
