"Yes Mr Rodders, I was just disappointed that David Johnson's protege, New Labour fanatic "No6" couldn't bring himself to applaud the fact that some elderly people had been spared being thrown out on the streets, because his political fanaticism got in the way of being a decent human being, how bloody Socialist is that? A little like Tony Blair not letting the fact that he was a "Socialist Christian", get in the way of sentencing 10's thousands of people and our own soldiers to death for absolutely NOTHING"
More puerile shite from you Jim.
Tell me was it under the Labour government/Labour council when you tried to get a council flat and got knocked back?
Cheers
D
Thanks Daily Mail!

Re: Comrade David!!
"more puerile shite from you Jim."
It's so easy to expose the Socialist thug lurking underneath a thin veneer of civility, a little bit of goading from me and it's goodbye to the, "Gentle persuasion" and in with the thumb screws. Your time and place David was Russia in the 1920 and 1930's working as one of Stalin's "Assistants", you would have had a wonderful time!
Imagine it, first, you'd wheel out your bin full of twisted and doctored, "Facts" and then if that didn't work, you just have your opponent arrested and tortured.
However, for the moment at least, you'll just have to behave yourself, I'm sure if New Labour get another couple of terms, they'll have opportunities for, "Persuaders" like yourself to show "Undesirables" the error of their ways.
In the end they might even give you a nice uniform to wear!!adolf!

Actually I read, "The Guardian" last week and it had a page of drivel by the "High Priestess of Political Correctness" Polly Toynbee, bleating and lamenting that the Coalition were destroying all the wonderful works of New labour!
They're gone, luv, get over it!

No, not goading Jimbo, just more puerile shite from you. Do you think that I take being called a Nazi or Stalinist by you seriously? It's a cause of amusement to me.
Poor old Jimbo so incapable of dealing with people who disagree with you!
So was it New Labour that stopped you cleaning up on a council flat?
!wink!

Ok, I will pass on your kind thoughts to those unable to stay on at school because the EMA is going to be scrapped, the kids who are now going to miss out on the Future Jobs Fund and the disabled people in residential care who are losing their mobility allowance.
20% graduate unemployment, 20% youth unemployment, the greatest ever drop in consumer confidence in January, unemployment rising. I will pass on your "get over it" to them.
You really are all heart, aren't you? So was it New Labour that stopped you cleaning up on a London council flat?

Re: I draw this thread to a sad close!
I propose bringing this originally joyous thread to a sad close. It demonstrates the hopelessness of a world driven by political fanatics. The original thread was about an old man, with Alzheimer's who as a result of actions by a right wing newspaper will now NOT be booted out onto the streets. Something to be celebrated surely? But alas this was not to be.
The sad thing is that this positive outcome was completely obscured for some, by the fact that The Daily Mail, a "Tory rag" had campaigned for this old man and others with his condition.
But, of course, the laws of political correctness, tell us that no one on the Right can ever do anything that is GOOD for anybody, other than the rich. That is what we have been brainwashed into believing over the last 30 years. Only the Labour Party can actually DO GOOD for the community. Even with the fact that they took us into an endless war, took away many of our civil rights, allied itself with a right wing Republican madman, watched their own leader stash away ?millions, witnessed them giving the crooked banks ?trillions with no strings attached and ultimately lead the country to near bankruptcy.
Labour have done good work in the brainwashing department, because people still believe that they do good for people. Maybe even the old man, this thread was about, thought New Labour would look after him when the chips were down.
However, he didn't realise that he'd committed the cardinal sin of working hard, saving his money and paying off his house. Modern Labour doesn't represent such, "Traitors", they become Tories by default. New Labour looks after EVERYONE APART from hard working people like the old man with Alzheimers.
I would have to surmise then, that some on this forum, if having read the same article as I had, would NOT have passed on the information to a person that it may have been of benefit to, for no other reason than that it had been gleaned from a newspaper that represented political views they abhorred.
Anyway, on behalf of the decent folk on BGAFD I would like to convey my best wishes to Mr X and hope he lives the rest of his life in some comfort!

Jimslip
Yet more puerile crap from Jimslip, the man who cannot bear to be disagreed with.
1. The campaign that the Daily Mail has done in supporting people to get what is rightfully theirs is an excellent one.
2. Your idea that this situation in which someone sells their house to pay for residential care is down purely to New Labour is crap. As others have mentioned in this thread, it happened under the Tories.
Do grow up! You are embarrassing yourself.
