I don't think there is a difference since both are very valid professions. Both Escorting and Adult Film Actors/Actresses are both part of the overall Adult Entertainment Industry in my book.

I act for both types of clients and agree with the earlier posts saying Escorts earn more in general but of course there are exceptions both ways and many clients actually span Escorting and Actress work.
