Did you notice how yesterday Clifford was on TV saying that Goody was having to be Christened in the hospital, and so were her sons? I bet he was angry about that because he would have made more money if she had been able to get to a church to have it done - a magazine wanted the snaps of her at the alter.

I bet the guy who is the father of the kids, who, interestingly, is around them a lot more these days (wouldnt be because he knows he'll be photographed, and could make money would it?), also Goody's jailbird partner (or 'new husband' - something he decided upon because it would make him richer) and also Goody's revolting mother, are probably all upset that they couldnt drag her to a church for the Christening.

A second home for the guy who is the boys' dad, a new sports car for the jailbird 'husband' and a time-share apartment in Spain for the mother, now have less of a chance of being obtained! They must be cross that Goody couldn't make it to the Church for the ceremony yesterday. All that money that people around her now wont be getting!!

Goody is scum, she should never have even existed never mind being a pseudo-celebrity. I don't want to know anything more about the ugly cunt, and despite doing my best to avoid the mainstream news & divvy press there is seemingly no escape from it all.

Will the mourning nation insist on minutes of silence & all that crap, I can see this turning into another Diana thing with stupid bastards nationwide getting overcome with grief for someone they have never met and some idiotic statement from Gordon Brown. That's is she actually dies, and they don't invent a miracle for the deserving soul.

Max Clifford - always remember The Silver Stoat is not only the man behind every talentless Z lister getting more column inches than they deserve, he's also 90% of the time the man pulling the strings of every 'victim' of a celebrity, they know who to call when the want to tell the world some moneyed footballer or musician has allegedly raped them but not so keen to make that known every time an allegation is thrown out of court or the CPS doesn't prosecute

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

I will be very angry if, when Goody passes away, there are tributes from senior politicans and documentaries about her dominating that evening's TV schedules. Remember, our Servicemen get a brief mention in the House of Commons when they die and the injured ones, who many have mental problems - and certainly physical problems - for life, aswell as a life of possible poverty, dont get mentioned at all. Yet this gormless, non-entity (Goody) who no one liked and was happy to sell every bit of her life for money, will likely get tributes. That would be very wrong! She's achieved nothing, doesn't deserve the coverage and, as I said at the top of this thread, has taken things to new levels of tastlessness.

Unfortunately, 4.9 million people [who all have the vote!] have demonstrated through buying a sold out double print run of that appalling wedding that they do 'care' about Goody.

Less than 4.9 million poppies are sold every year.

There, Max, is your answer.

The christening circus was also farcical in the extreme.

Does anyone seriously believe that Goody would have even bothered getting christened, had she not had an imminent appointment on the great Big Brother sofa in the sky?

Yet another tasteless publicity stunt (albeit one that backfired somewhat when she ended up having to do it in hospital rather than in some quaint church with all the trimmings and a party afterwards, as had originally been planned).

I'm old enough (just) to remember when Lillian Board died. Also of cancer, also only in her 20s. That was in December 1970 - I remember the date because we were in the process of moving house at the time.

Of course when the end came it was news. But there were no trashy celeb mag shoots then. No endless media coverage in the run-up. No stomach-churning photo-ops for the papers of a bald Lillian grinning inanely from a wheelchair. No (as far as I can recall) politicians rushing to jump aboard the popular bandwagon and embarrassing themselves by making meaningless, hollow statements and trying to look all "in touch".

And yet Lillian Board was a young woman of genuine talent (potentially one of Britain's greatest ever female track athletes who'd already won European and Olympic medals), who bore her illness with courage and dignity and who was famous for actually **achieving** something noteworthy - unlike Gormless Goody and her jailbird husband-of-convenience.

How times have changed - for the worse.

Do you guys remember Dallas years ago? Remember the who shot JR thing? Everyone hated JR because he beat up his wife Pamela Ewing. It was the topic of many papers for months and months. The I who shot JR t-shirts were a marketing success too. This is that same phenomenon all over again. People just cant stop talking about Miss Goody and thats what the media love.

This is a multi tiered thing, people hate her because shes chavvy, made racist comments, her cancer etc but the media love her because she is dying in our faces and it is legitimised by her past appearance on BB...

You guys have the right to moan about her by all mean sbut dont you see that you have all become part of the Jade Goody phenomenon as well?

I know whats really going to upset you guys though...The national day of mourning that will happen in the event of her death...Sounds crazy but you never know these days.

Even if there will be parties celebrating, it just only means, the media has got you all in its grasp to control like some weird new religion.

I dont follow it because I choose not to. Call me shallow if you like but she is making oney out of all this whether you hater her or not because both sides of the fence are stokig those fires of interest incessantly.

Thats my view from the bridge.
