For those of you (like me) who have no idea what "allegory" means:

1. A representation of an abstract or spiritual meaning through concrete or material forms; figurative treatment of one subject under the guise of another
2. A short moral story (often with animal characters).
3. A visible symbol representing an abstract idea.
4. The representation of abstract ideas or principles by characters, figures, or events in narrative, dramatic, or pictorial form.
5. An expressive style that uses fictional characters and events to describe some subject by suggestive resemblances; an extended metaphor.

So I think this thread boils down to: "a kind of language which says one thing, but means another."

Sorry, I thought it was another thread giving Forum members a chance to brag about the fact that they once brushed up against a Womans breast in 1969 and that "Babe Show" Fans have never been that lucky.

It is all clear now.

The thread as you put it was started by your comment / question:

Who really gives a crap?

Its a Huffers recruitment drive...sadly, they are already the Weston Grand Pier of websites...

For all its faults- and babe channel fixations- BGAFD remains the best, the one and only. Accept no imitations. And mind the tartan clad types doing a spot of empire building....

A recruitment drive? Is it colonel .... is it .... well is it? Does it really look like one? Well does it?

You don't seem to have a problem with JamesW and his recruitment drive?

Aha .. it's Wazza isn't it? You are in love with him and just came come out of the closet can you? It's the Scottish lilt isn't it?

It's very simple, there is a link in my signature if anyone wants to click it, they can. If they don't want to they don't have to. If they want to join they can apply, if they don't want to they don't have to. That is how it is. And as for "the Weston Grand Pier of websites"? Well the traffic seems to say otherwise ........

Still keep up with the anti-hufferism, it's extremely amusing to read.
