Well, my alphanumeric friend, there are a great many English people who were born in England who harbour no ill-feeling towards you, but who would simply prefer that you lived in Asia.

And their reason for that preference?

Well, I expect that they consider this country to be their "birthright", presumably because either they, or their parents, or their grandparents, fought against the Nazis; because their parents, or their grandparents, fought in The Great War; because their ancestors fought against Napoleon; because their ancestors fought against Spain - and so on.
They are probably deeply resentful that politicians "sold them up the river", as they would consider it, by allowing massive immigration into their country, without even consulting them, or their parents or grandparents.
I am not saying that they are right or wrong to have such feelings of personal preference as I outlined earlier. I am, however, defending them against such epithets as "scum", Neanderthal" and "Nazi" being levelled at them.

Well, didn't lots of colonial nations help in the last two great wars? How do you know for certain that more of your ancestors fought fascism, or the nazis, than, say, the nearest British/Indian family down the road?
Our ancestors that fought in the last great war weren't sent to fight to protect our lands from immigration, they fought for liberation, equality and freedom.
The comment 'there are a great many English people who were born in England who harbour no ill-feeling towards you, but who would simply prefer that you lived in Asia.' got me to thinking what a tatty excuse for prejudice it was. Surely you could try harder?
"I've no ill-felling towards black folk, I just prefer that they earn 10% less than us white folk." - You get my drift?

Good points, Sam; very good points.
As I have said previously, I can see both sides of this and will probably never be able to come down on one side or the other.
I do, however, feel that it is reprehensible and narrow-minded to place the people I described above in the same category as the "skinheads".

All this from someone who wants to halt immigration (or at least slow it down). I'm of the opinion that we should do what's best for 'current' citizens first. Immigration puts massive strains on public services and housing; and anyone who says otherwise is probably living in a small township and never had to deal with the problems of cosmopolitan, multicultural city-life. However, when someone announces that we should 'send them home!' when they've been born here, it really stinks of shiiiiite, no matter how it's dressed.
As for the nazi comments: All I can say is that you don't have to be an admirer of Hitler, Mussolini, or Stalin to have a similar attitude. There's plenty of Christian v Christian, and Muslim v Muslim conflicts to prove that you can hate everything about Hitler, but still be a bigoted nutter.

That reminds me of a joke once told by Lenny Henry years ago, in his early days (before he became fat and unfunny).
He told of a visit to London, in which he saw scrawled on a wall "GIVE ALL THE BLACKS A THOUSAND QUID EACH TO GO HOME".
"I thought: that's a good deal", quipped Lenny in his strong Black Country accent - "I'll have some of that. It only costs a tenner back to Dudley on the train".

Steve R,
Everyone in Britain is an immigrant.
One thousand years ago, this country was a Celt[red hair]/Roman[dark hair]/Viking [blonde hair] melting pot.
Did people fight about hair colour as they do about skin colour.
You come across as sadder than I think you are.
