what is it you don't understand, mate?
like i said, just because a film grosses umbelievable amounts, DOESN'T MAKE THE END PRODUCT ANY FUCKING GOOD.It just means that the media men have done a good job promoting this pile of crap.End of.

Hopefully this will cover the advertising budget.

Apologies - I was being facetious.

You're right of course - congrats. to SBC for ambition alone, and the film has been handled extremely well by its people. But I hope you don't think there's anything different going on here, because controversy aside, it's ultimately just another mediocrity doing good business during a lull in the release schedules before the season's big guns arrive (Casino Royale has already done $225m btw). A fluke, perhaps.

The fuss over Borat reminds me of the fuss over The Blair Witch Project. I must've read endless articles on how cleverly the film had tapped the market and so forth, and yet none of them seemed to mention if the film was any cop or not. Where are its makers these days? Baron Cohen probably deserves to reap the rewards from Borat, but he also probably knows the real test comes next.

As an avid reader of Uncut magazine, I was more than a little miffed to read that 'Borat' is rated 4th in their list of best movies of 2006.
I'm cancelling my subscription in protest, forthwith, and suggest they re-name their lousy rag 'UCUNT' magazine with immediate effect. The Dolts.
