When I saw the heading for this thread I thought oh no what have you done, expecting the comments from Lucy to be the norm.
I learnt a long time ago the only things accepted on the forum from most of the models are the comments telling them how good they are and the usual reply crtical of most producers will be if you don't like it don't buy it.

I agree about Terry, Marino and Lindsay, bless them, but it's not erotica, it's basic porn. It has humour and a lovely rawness and certainly has it's place in the scheme of things but again it really doesn't do the girls any favours.
What about collaboration guys it's a good way of spreading the load initially. It would be a wonderful fantasy to give those guys a wad of money to see what they really could do. I suspect we'd end up with a porn "Carry On" film and none the worse for that.
Your point about actors is my point, they don't have to "appear" bad just as good actors can be made to appear bad by bad directors.

I was quite surprised by the response as well but the lack of comments from the girls speaks volumes I'm afraid as does Lucy's, but at least she responded.

Dave, I think Double Entry is a reality-type show where non-porn people get to (attempt to) make a porn video. It's not bankrolled by Viv Thomas, but by Playboy TV. Viv and Avril are there solely as the mentors to each team, and to lend their respective skills and experience (which are considerable).

For once can you guys be totally honest withyourselves regarding Britporn!!
It's all about the talent available.
There are only a certain number of performers who can rise to the occasion. Men and women that is. The best men are all geting old now, we've seen their cocks thousands of times. There are very few new guys on the patch and of those most have to use the blue pill to help themselves get payed for a living.
There simply isn't enough ladies out there to keep it interesting. I take my hat off to Faye and Sandie etc... they've kept busy, they change their looks and keep it different as long as possible. But we need talent new and fresh! Constantly!!!. This means the film producers can produce more movies for us to buy. Punters like me need to see new girls regularly as well as our established stars.., Alicia, Vicky, Angel etc.... This is why the American market kicks ass!! They have new faces all the time, starlets aplenty... from all over the world... getting into their movies.
We need to create an upsurge in our market... quickly!!! Talent is the key, certainly for me. That's the initial revenue stream that can help the producers, distributors and retailers to make money! this in turn can help the market to pay the talent more to stay in the industry longer get richer and re-invest in the market when they become film-makers themselves , ....that's how it works in the States!!!

We are all moaning abou the state of brit porn today but one lady for me who stands out is the lovely Jo Hadfield....she makes me reach for the tissues every time i see her on film. Not one of these 20 something chav types but she seems a real natural IMO and very classy with it.

Unfortunately becoming less and less the case anymore I'm afraid. I'll give you three examples of the decline. 1). Way back when the web first started I used to sell images for non-exclusive electronic rights (web) for $10.00 each. Now I refuse to sell because it's 10 cents and they want exclusive. 2). About 12 years ago when I made the Inseminator 1&2 movies our total cost was about ?15,000 to make it. Fuck the bar bill was ?4000 ! Those two movies sold for $40,000. Now regardless of what they cost to make, I doubt whether they would sell for $4000. 3). When I work now in porno (not very often) I get a fraction of what I was paid 10 years ago.
You can work it all out from there.

Bollocks - the talent is and always has been here. It is simply about money read my other remarks on this thread and you'll see. If we were able to sell more, we could demand a greater share, generate bigger budgets and so on. And obviously entice more or better girls.

I guess it all comes back to the marketing phrase USP (unique selling point) and we ain't got one and until we do find one that's going to kick ass abroad and here nothing will change.
Our market is saturated with dross, some of it good dross, but dross never the less. Talent such as yours and many others is going to waste but the solution, in my view, is in your own hands (no pun intended).
Why don't you organise yourselves a little conference, it doesn't have to be anything special, keep it to business without the constant pissups and see if you can come up with any ideas between you.
There is of course the drug problem but perhaps I shouldn't go there....

The theory is superb of course but I for one believe that it simply wouldn't work or be benefical simply because we are all rivals for a diminishing market at the end of the day and maybe honesty wouldn't prevail. This business (as are most) has always been I'm alright Jack, fuck everybody else.
I'll give you an example of similar - some years back a few togs got together and decided to confront the top shelf mags to raise the rates of payment for set's (by the way it was 1989 since the last increase - yes 3 decades ago). It simply didn't work because another tog (very well known) went behind everybodys back and did special deals. Now don't get me wrong fair play to him for doing so. But it's an example of the honesty thing. There will never be a level playing field and it is made worse because of the subject matter.
I do like the idea of being on some kind of board controlling things or at least over viewing or supervising though. But there again who is going to want me poking my bit in (not sure if pun is intended or not there).
