Guys, bottom line, Anna produces two versions of her movies, 18 and R18.

Here, here. I've always believed that soft versions shouldnt be considered throw aways to the hard. Due to the limitations of the soft, I use it to do something abit different from the hard, if anyone has purchased the soft and hard versions will see.

Yes, it does, if it's softcore then by definition it's shite.
Anyone who edits down their hardcore and sells it to shite shops and shite softcore satellite channels is part of the problem in the UK.

You mean 'shite' (softcore) and 'self censored' (R18). Umrated is the only version anyone should watch.

Nacho, I haven't started doing hardcore yet because I haven't found a way around shooting two versions of the same scene without compromising quality. And my best softcore shows have taken me five days to edit. Softcore does not automatically mean 'shite'.

I don't object to anyone making softcore if thats what they want to do. What I object to is cutting down a hardcore for the purpose to get it sold or displayed in a place the real version would be not allowed. The softcore version of an edited down movie is usuall always bad, full of knees, flower vases and scenes jumping eratically as bits are chopped and substituted.

I agree with nachovx the place of sale should not determine whether a member of the public buys soft-core or hard-core, the definition should be defined by preference not law enforce regulations.

I shoot my soft and hard versions totally seperate Nachovx. Please don't spout off opinions on what you don't know about. You are probably used to the two camera soft and hard shoot at the same time. I don't do this.
For your info, the soft versions are shot for cable and 18 cert release and not edited from the hard version. R18 doesnt mean censored and shite either. There are still good titles getting through the BBFC that havent been censored. While I admit some (or most) of the stuff you probably like would be censored for reasons the BBFC can explain for various reasons a slight cut here and there doesnt really detract from the end users enjoyment. Especially when they aren't up on the ins and outs of the porn industry and just want to watch a fuck film.

That's right, most people aren't interested in censorship.
I had a dream once that I was talking to one of the BBFC censors. He was holding a book. I asked, 'What are you reading'? I asked, 'Can I have a look'? He gives me the book and I start to rip some pages out of the book. I give him the book back.
I say, 'Now, how does it feel'?
