The problem with what you have said, is that you your making out DVD sales are poor. >>>>>>>They are poor globally>>>>>>Few are making big profits>>>Bit silly really>>>>iI know what they were fined for I told you. It has taken years to get to this level and I have explained its easier to change the deliver method>>>Then I hope you enjoy the wait while everyone else justs gets IPTV>>>Cage the world of porn is fucked it is virtually free because of the internet and Pirates anyone who is clever gets it off of a pirate or a pirate site there are very few real punters left thank god most are on here.>>>>>thats UK nature very few.get behind you they all stand on the fence throwing shit>>>>Where does the funds come from for all this promotion and marketing and stuff you suggest, why do you think the girls get no respect from the public its because like porn on TV it is still unacceptable in UK>>>>Done that trading standards and the police don't want to know they do not give a shit...USA spends 40 million dollars a month worldwide combating piracy and loosing what chance do we have DVD has made it to good to easy>>

Cage try to stick to a few question to make it easy and don't be so lazy do a bit of research yourself.

Cage don't be so lazy, do some research, look at my globaldigitalbroadcast site or do a search for IPTV Set-top box.... as an example my box will be bought by the asian comunity because it will transmit asian programs direct from China, India etc...now sky can't do that...Every football team will have its own channel and transmit its games to its supporters world wide, We are 180k into this with plans to spend another load before launch, my doors open 25th with a complete set-up on display we even should have the set-top by then. TDG reasearch calculates that there should be 20 million viewers on IPTV by 2010 and the esitimated revenue gained from it should be around $17bn this is not some wires from a box to a telly...You suffer from the sky falling disease get of the back and start shoving like the rest of us,,,you ask for something we try to provide it now say thank-you big Phil what can I do to help..it really is that simple get behind it or go stop them clubbing seals.

The slow uptake of set top boxes is down to scepticism and rightly so IMHO

How can adding a AUS300-00 box to a 5 year old analog TV be as Good as the latest high definition digital plasma TV bought for AUS4000-00?

Digital TV just hasn't been marketed properly...if you want to convince the customers you've got to take it to them not wait for them to come

I shop in the biggest Shopping centre in the southern hemisphere and have not seen one display of this new Genre EVER in the various MALLS

You won't see them in the shops yet because they have not be launched, I come on here and tell you guys what is coming your direction and all you can do is say you have not seen one, Sorry Deuce next time Sony are testing a new product I make sure they contact you so you can advise them.
IPTV will also deliver Hi-Def to these hi-def plasma's...how else will we get it in the uk, no plans the best is Sky +. Big plasma's are a big letdown in fact Sony seem to think their location free TV's are what everyone will buy.

I was actually referring to set top boxes already available in the shops purely as an example of how even a cheap simple add on with its claimed benefits of a superior picture is perceived hocus pocus by many

I get the impression that set-top box are in their infancy as we speak and buying one would only mean needing a replacement down the track if you want the best

They started out for just receiving the digital signal and have moved on to such things as blocking out adverts etc,What next?

Deuce, the set top boxes available are not the same system IPTV offers 1000 channels not 20,,, As yet another example of marketplace for IPTV there are mainstream sports in some countries with large, but satellite uneconomic audiences, who will PAY substantially to view - this is the example for Aussie Rules:
example,
Hope this get home to you mate,

I see

I've no doubt it will appeal where the laws are favourable but as my neighbour with Pay TV and some 60 channels often says...theres nothing on

We're lucky in Australia because we've got the anti-siphoning laws which means Free to air TV(5 channels) gets first bite of the cherry at the major sporting events

A definite hurdle for any Paid Subscription service no matter how it is beamed in to the loungeroom
