I read your post Katalin...didn't realise you were speaking from BAIHA general agreement rather than just your own personal opinion so apologies there. Remember we weren't all invited to the meeting so are generally not aware of exactly what and wasn't discussed.

I suspect there will be a lot of people in the industry going to find what their usual place is to get their STD tests...a lot of the girls and guys wouldn't know what an STD certificate looked like over here if you battered them in the face with it. Still it is definitely time that changed.

Oh I forgot to ask where can we find this list of clinics? I personally find it hard enough finding a clinic north of the Watford Gap that will give you a certificate without looking at you like your slime cos you do porn without trying to find a DNA test clinic. End up going to London every time!

I dunno the whole facts..but it appears that AIM who are based in LA test the whole US industry. From their website it appears they test by courier !!
So you send a sample via one of their appointed doctors and they give you the all clear, without ever even having to seeing you.
If that works in the US maybe 6 regional centres in the UK could do the same.

Cheers CC.

Well I suspect that the doctor takes the sample rather than you giving him it but yeah sounds good...thats if the courier doesnt add too much.

One clinic?

Not one clinic per se - ONE DATABASE... There can be several clinics AFFILIATED to BAIHA... The details are sent from the clinic to the BAIHA.

This was my point ref Katalin's suggestion - the logistics of getting the PCR at one clinic and the STI tests at another just creates far too much administration aggravation - far beeter to get it done at a one stop shop and providing that clinic is affiliated to BAIHA - the clinic could be in London, Portsmouth, Nottingham, Glasgow or Aberdeen....

Katalin - the logistics and the admin make it ludicrous to go through the motions of a PCR here and an STI test there... the whole process needs to be user-friendly, simple and affordable.

As a photographer I would like to make the following comments to your post.

Why have I never heard of "BAIHA"? I wasn't sent an e-mail, I only heard about this by chance. The first I have heard of "BAIAH" is in this forum.
You say that you are open to suggestions and e-mails.
Do you have a website? Do you have an offical e-mail address?

In order to "create ther best service you can" you need to inform EVERYONE - not just a select few.
Why don't you organise a press conference? invite the media? get word out instead of 'chatting' on this forum and leaking little snippets - Why do I have to get the information this way? I have no idea about who the people involved are, their backgrounds, their trust-ability etc. I have no idea what BAIHA is. what its intent is or how it will affect me.

I suggest you take the time to put something offical up (optionally with a mailing list), and THEN start talking about it and using forums like this.
