Yes. I'm inclined to agree. From your point of view. Another models will say getting ?700 to 1k a days work is better than working for a few days to earn ?500

I agree, if you put the time in you can make good money but then is this not the equivalent to working one day and earning money?

I only agree with Jimmy Jimmy if the rate being offered for work is below the average which UKAP rates were based on what mid level pro producers paid Not what amateurs apy (which is usually by the hour)

Adult Work works well in tandem with paid jobs but anything by itself soon becomes hard work if it becomes boring. Ive heard of odels cancelling their AW accounts for the same reason preferring the variety of work paid shoots provides ie meeting up with people etc

I'm just offering a balanced view because between yourself, Kim and (shudder) Jimmy Jimmy it seems that Adult Work is the be all and end all of the adult industry.

That s very dangerous to rely on one form of income when they have a track record for suspending accounts because the wrong wording was used, the numerous attacks and more. Its not something I would be comfortable advising any new model to rely on.

I think money is good where you can make it be it from amateurs, mid level producers, corporate companies or adult work. Do it all. Make that money. Why knock a hundred quid for solo work for an hours work. Thats a hundred quid better off you'd be if you didnt earn it

As well as ATVOD other forces are at play when it comes to AW, we got raided last year by the Tax office who had all our details...or so they thought lol!

After showing us their warrant cards & reading us our rights they then went on to show us print outs & info from AW, it was egg on their face as we put our AW funds through the books & provided them with our tax details.

After offering them a cup of tea for their wasted journey they told us they were going through people on AW to make sure they were legal, we warned about 20 girls to close their sites as they were building cases on them & got a ticking off from the Tax office about it...alls fair in love & war.

AW is a quality site that's hated by the Government & the main stream adult industry alike & why...simply because they got their formula right & created something we would have all liked to have done.

ATVOD trying to close them is crazy as the public have to use credit cards to purchase hardcore clips, you can't go straight into the site & watch clips unlike lots of others so ATVOD's reasons on this is more deep rooted.

The internet fucked porn in the first place & will finish it off for good over the next few years, we need to put our heads together now with other producers/models on where porn will go now & loop holes in government polices to give us more breathing time...

I'm sure there are girls who are worth thousands but not even the americans pay that and it is impractical in the scale of investments to pay that kind of money out

Its not just about Adult Work Its about all the work available to models to diversify their income.

It is so diverse now if we include the e word (which has been the most lucrative) then we are looking at this increased variety being responsible for the statistical rise in STDs...

Let not forget working the phones on TV channels. In relative terms thats easy money because it doesnt involve the physical act of sex

I agree its better to diverse...work for pay, do chat lines, texting, sell dvd's, electronic adult media, escorting, parties & so on as well as just do content share as it all goes in the pot.

The trick is to earn as much as you can while you can, today's top stars will be forgotten in 5 years so don't rely on being popular in relation to what you earn/will earn/can earn.

With the market so big some girls will work for half the pay of someone else, we have spoken to models that demand crazy fee's & with this recession they don't stand a chance of making a living as they have froze themselves out of the running.

On the other hand there are small producers offering what they can afford & getting burnt at the stake for dare to be paying less than "the industry levels", after getting badly slagged off these guys give up & do content share as a safe option.

With the industry having no structure the only sensible thing we see is being certed every 28 days but having guidelines for pay only makes the small producer feel alienated & causes a downward effect, normal firms & small businesses have been playing less over the last five years yet the sex industry is preached on what they can pay to the models & expects the same.

If a model wants to work for a given fee then let her & if she thinks she is too good for that fee then let her wait for the bigger companies to employ her...simples

Working for pay is ok as long as the film makers are not regulated or made examples of by those who can afford the big bucks...work together guys & content share might start diminishing a bit.

On the topic of model rates I want to make explicitly clear that at no time did UKAP mandate or endorse the standard fees.

It merely provided answers to the questions new models ask all the time and the information we put out is a guide to reference and did not specify amateur or professional and I do believe that was stated in a disclaimer.

Some producers within our own association know that and we subscribe to what Kim has said, whoever a model enters into agreement with is between them and the person/ company they agree to work with

I dont beleive that information is on the new site because the landscape has changed dramatically. UKAP are not even engaged in the health issue anymore simply because, without model support it was never going to work and given the reaction tote last HIV scare it seems that models want to take charge of this for themselves. We've thought of a simple solution for this contingency.

At least no one can point fingers at us for not trying, caring or appearing to do something about it and in case youre wondering how the 28 days became mandatory, UKAP was born from dealing with that when more influential models of the day helped make that the standard we still live by today

If models want to have mandatory condom use then you know you can make it happen but we all know the outcome of that. Not all producers are the villains in that piece

My last comment wasn't aimed at UKAP or A.I.R but in general of the status quo, there are lots of people willing to pay but scared of the outcome if they offer fee's what they can afford.

We see threads every week about someone who as offered this amount etc & i am not saying its right or wrong but if a model is unhappy to work for that fee they can just say no & move on, naming & shaming guys who offer low fee's is non productive as no one is forcing models into accepting what they pay.

There are loads of producers on AW, Fetlife & X Hamster who steer clear of main stream sites still paying models what they can afford, one of our friends in Colchester is shooting 2 - 3 times a week for half the amounts said to be the going rate yet he still as models eager to work for him.
