The frustrating thing is I set up the British Porn Forum which allowed easy posting of pics, editing etc, enabled models/producers to have their own profile page and even their own section on the forum and nobody bothered to use it except for a couple of people.

I didnt know this but truth is, outside of the adult industry I dont really visit any forums outside of this and UKAP only because UKAP is where I can speak to fellow producers about matters that concern me as a producer

I've always regarded BGAFD as a fan driven forum which is weird because i dont really promote my wares here as ive found that it doesnt generate traffic and thats probably why a lot of producers and models dont come here.

I know there are some producers who are promoted here but thats probably because theyre sponsors

The main reason I contribute is to provide insight or quell false information from snowballing out of control or in some cases been corrected by those of higher authority on topics than me...It has been known

BGAFD mods could increase posts from the community if they had a twitter presence highlighting the links that may be of interest to the various aspects of the adult business.

Its not unusual for me to discount certain posts as unimportant to be told later that it was informative as people tend to say interesting things within a post that may not grab my attention

To be honest I can't blame models for not wanting to go on here!

I've read posts from photographers and producers on here saying British models are ugly/overweight how they all have 'ugly' tattoos or fake breasts.

Everytime I post on here I get several hate emails from people off of here! Its hardly a place that welcomes models and encourages bookings!

What makes me laugh is,I know some stunning chicks here and on other sites,few of whom are happy with their weight/height/hair/overall body image/other... and they are GORGEOUS...

Most woman would change summat about themselves if they could,even the perfect ones

So you get(some) idiot comments,lagging off models looks etc and THERES A SHORTAGE OF NEW GIRLS JOIN HERE...,..No wonder.

If people were at least seen to be a little more helpfull etc..

It also applies to new photogs and male models who post here then get absolutely murdered because they used the wrong filter/f stop/intro post here...

My mum always told me , if you cant say something nice about a person etc...

I agree the BGAFD forums are noticeably quieter than a few years ago and the Promotions section has changed significantly.

The Promotions used to mainly be either
- models generally seeking work and advising short notice availability
- producers/photographers seeking models for shoots

The remainder were mostly either
- producers / models with their own websites advising of new content
- producers detailing new DVD releases
- producers / photographers publicly thanking models for a good shoot
-- and maybe linking a few photos promoting both themselves and the models

Now the models relatively rarely post.
Tell me I'm wrong but my impression is most are earning their money doing webcam from home and regular work with adult TV channels rather than chasing the ever declining demand for one-off bookings and then if selected having to travel around to the shoot locations.

From the producers perspective since overall consumers have less disposable income there is less demand for and return from their end product regardless of the move from printed material and physical media to websites, streaming and downloads hence they are making fewer bookings with models.

Now a significant number of posts are by the TV companies. Nothing wrong with that in principle as they are promoting their shows and the models they feature. However one in particular consistently flouts the rules but equally BGAFD Admin ignores this.

The net result is for most is there less of interest hence fewer visits plus commercially there less demand for services/products hence less worthwhile to spend time making and replying to posts so the result is a downward spiral.

Would a revamp really make a significant difference or is the decline mostly a reflection of the changes of direction for the industry over the last few years?

Where once you could post something & have a reasonable chat you now get faceless dickheads who sabotage threads....usually other producers who ain't got the balls to say something to your face lol!

The mods are hot on removing these kind of people so that is a good thing but to someone new they may think "sod coming on here again"

Porn is changing rapidly & so are the people making & watching it so the site won't seem the same to long term members & thats like any other similar forum sites.

Porn is all about being visual. We've got to fancy the girls. So many people on here hate tattoos and fake tits and don't find them attractive. Most prefer natural girls. So if a girl is all tattoos and fake tits and she's not going to get a lot of positive feedback on a forum where most people like the natural look. Maybe if they didn't ruin themselves in the first place they'd be more popular. No one's trying to be nasty or unwelcoming. It's just that that look doesn't float a lot of boats.

Example; Poppy Morgan. No tattoos or piercings. Posted on here all the time. Spoke to fans. A big part of the community. Sorely missed.

Angel Long. Used to be a big part of the community. Posted a lot. Spoke to fans. Covers herself in tattoos, changes her look and nobody likes it. Haven't seen a post on here from her for ages, now. Very few people miss her. Basically, she alienated herself.

I post a lot in the O/T forum but find it's being ruined by people who think they're interllectually superior and won't shut up. Yes, I'm talking about David Johnson. A man who argues just for the sake of arguing. I find his posts monotonous, longwinded and boring. It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't so arrogant.
