"You can't sustain free shoots for an indefinite period as its not practical & it would be demoralising in the long run."
The problem is you are judging it on your own situation, not mine, which is fair as you don't know me, but I actually am in a situation where I could do that.
Lets be realistic though, the number of people likely to take advantage of the offer will likely be very low. Most will still probably view it as a scam, some will likely agree to come along but get cold feet etc. Some may be interested but feel it's too far to travel. I'd honestly be surprised if I got more than a couple of people ever turn up.
It's similar to when I look for content share shoots. Despite the fact I can deliver someone good exclusive content my posts go ignored most times. So this will most likely go the same way. But there's nothing lost by trying.

True. i know what you mean.
BB....On things like that I never charge a fee to keep costs down but I do want ownership of the content as my end of the deal.
People are still interested in seeing content like that even if guys fail just to see first hand to lear from someone elses failure. It also shows that this isnt easy. In your fantasy you are all superstuds who can take on 10 girls and leave them gasping from exhaustion. The reality is a sore neck from sucking a limp and lifeless willy with the owner sweating with stress saying: "This doesnt normally happen to me"
Of course it doesnt but in their fantasy they never figured there was a big black bloke behind the camera either.
I'm totally honest that I dont do nothing for free even if it is for free. Even if its a pint of beer and a bag of chips...Ok Im not THAT cheap...Maybe throw in a savaloy or two as well

If the content turned out to be better than you thought then you'd get the better deal. If it turned out to be crap then the stud in question might not want it published so he'd want to pay you in either case. What is your fee anyway, just out of curiosity, and don't say you're prohibitively expensive, for Dave Wells would bite off his small toe to get another job? lol

Ive never known anyone to pay even if it was a complete disaster.
I always find out what specifically is involved before I quote fees. I have to factor in the day I'm shooting and how long in post.
A lot of people have no idea whats involved with editing and the time involved. It could range from a simple edit of a couple hours from input to computer, edit, render and output. DVD takes time to build it could end up being a 2 to 3 day job depending on the complexity of whats involved ie stylised or straight edit with minimum effects and dissolves
I'm cheaper as a straight up cameraman of course but then that would be Dave Wells territory. I might charge that bit extra as I use my own camera.
I've been commissioned to do private shoots mainly because I edit. Otherwise people do it themselves.
I can do content shares with exclusive runs pre agreed to your advantage
In other words, you have to be specific with your question if you want a specific answer
By pro standards i dont think I charge too much. What made you think I charge exoribitant fees? !happy!
If you want me to film a no frills scene with your camcorder and walk away after then thats the cheapest you will get me but I'm sure you could get anyone to do that and I would prefer you emailed me in private to discuss rates

In fact I'm sure there would be plenty enough people ready to undercut any fee I charged anyway.
You cant beat Welshmorphs option of doing it for free
You know this business is no longer a business when people are doing it for free and getting nothing for it in return
Makes you really miss the good old days !happy!

Again you seem to be missing the point of this. If someone wants me to shoot content for their site they pay. If someone wants me to shoot them a private video they pay. This is purely to try and find new talent for the industry and to give them some content to promote themselves with without them being ripped off by scammers. It's not like we are talking a halfday shoot here, it's just come along, shoot some pics so people can clearly see what you look like and a bit of video to see if it's something you feel comfortable doing and have a chat about things.
I think it says more about todays society that people have a problem with someone trying to help others out.

Welshmorph, I think OEJ is probably a better bet than you, since he knows everybody who's anybody in the industry, and you don't. A few pics and a bit of video isn't gonna achieve much even if they are well done. Newbies need someone to act as their promoter, a role OEJ is perfectly cut out for. He is the Don King of the porn industry, lol.

In fairness bikebum, probably best not to make judgements about anyone, who they know, or what they do, to who, when, and what for.
Sure fire way to end up surprised and with ?uf on ones visage

Aside from that, carry on folks!

Ha ha its funny because when i met Rocco years ago in Prague he said I looked like Don King too !laugh!
I guess I must have looked like Don King at the time with my hair out looking like a nutter.
Jazz Duro went to work with Rocco and has a whole new life for over a decade on the other side of the world.
Even he paid for his shoots when he started out. He already proved himself the first time but he was dead serious about it all and wanted to do different things with different women.
If you really want something you can make it happen
I dont mean to undermine Welshmorph at all because he is in a position where i wonce was but life has taught me one to many lessons that people are all too suspicious when you try to help someone out
Take a look around these forums and see over the years where I got my nuts kicked in for the health initiative. Auditions. Fellow producers. The awards. UKAP. Other peoples forums...Or just take my word for it

Tis true. I , like some others in the business do not covet or own any model that as come through me. I've always been the type to share the talent and if they found fortune elsewhere and moved on then Im all the more happy for them
All too often over the years I've seen people get possessive and own models by way of weak contracts that were not worth the paper (if ever there was one) they were written on
I dont mean to come across as a know i tall but I have earned my stripes on many levels.
I never knock the new kids on the block because one day i might be saluting you lot when you become prominent.
Ive never stepped on anyone to get where I am today. So please excuse me if I get in attack mode when people do it to me
I come in peace (oo-er)
