that would be 'bare' then would it? told you my spelling was crap. incidentally, you reply to a specific post by bringing up that post and replying directly to it, right? brings up the reply mid-list but it is specifically a reply to that particular post? have i figured it out now, or do i have to keep trying until something else works?

Yeah, although your replies appear mid-list, as jj says, it's the threads that do the 'joining' of the posts, so if you read them just as they appear in the list, yes, they won't make sence, but follow the threads, and they will. Wait for all the thread lines to load.
