I'd be very surprised if the TV companies didn't pay for the privilege of posting and bumping their threads on here.
This is a great forum and I agree it does get clogged up with shebang postings but BGAFD will want to cover their costs and make a bit on top, like we all do, so you cant blame them for allowing its own promoters more leeway on here

No one is really saying they shouldn't be on here- just that they are clogging up the promotions forum.
Would it be such a big thing to add a "phonechat" part to the forum?

Agree.
I left the forum for a few months. TV promos of 'TV stations' all promo-ing the same boring content.
Shebang 10 threads on the frontpage today!

Shebang have 10 threads on the frontpage today!
When BB did that they were asked to respect the forum rules. Shebang and others have every right to promote their business but its ruining the forum with this avalanche of promotion
Forumites arent engaging with it either, of the 10 threads I looked at not one response was posted by anyone other than Shebang
Also please can someone remind them of the bump rules. One thread has been bumped 10 times!!
Of course massive companies should be able to use this forum, just find it a shame when they dominate the forum. Killergram are huge but are organised and produce one post a week which people read and engage with every week

The clue is in the title - this is the promotions thread.
I admit to being as unimpressed with multiple posts from the same producer, but they're at least on-topic (unlike this thread!)
Perhaps the 'offenders' could be persuaded to use just one thread that will automatically ripple to the top as they add new posts - preferably ones that don't just say "BUMP".
As for these producers paying for the privilege of multiple posts and bumping, I'm sure the option exists for them to purchase ad space on here. I'd be surprised if the forum engine was set up to allow paid promotion.

Yes it is the promotion thread Snappy, however I suggest if you want to be sanctimonious about it that you refresh your memory of the forum rules as whilst they are using the correct forum they are breaching several of them.

This is quite an interesting thread.
I've not put the Killergram Weekly Update up yet as I had an email from the owners of KG yesterday on pretty much this very subject.
Anjali and Disanto have always been huge supporters of this forum, however it appears that its now become "open day" for spam.
Its a real shame as this place has always been considered the "go to" forum for the Brit Industry.
I will post the weekly update later today but depending on how things pan out over the next week, it may well be the last promo post from Killergram as we are in complete agreement with BensonMedia (as usual)...
Obviously the fact that we may not post here as from next week is not a big deal in itself but if things dont change on here, then anyone interested will be able to get weekly update info from Twitter and AdultDVDtalk forum.
We hope that the mods can sort it out and to be honest its simply shows a lack of understanding by the company in terms of online promotion and traffic generation.
Its simply a joke in terms of a business strategy and a total irritant for others

I was wondering where the Killergram thread was for this week.....would be a shame not to see it posted each week.

Yep, lately, it's become the place for TV spam, thinly disguised (if at all) whoring offers and paid for sex parties. There seem to be rules covering this, but no longer enforced, as a result, I no longer direct genuine models here as a way of finding real work for them.
A shame it's deteriorated, hope it gets sorted.
