2 and half years later and I'm still pissed off.

Big Ear Pix, probably the same model that I was going to put in an earlier post "mentioned in this thread" as cancelled on me twice.

These shoots are solo... not POV/Gonzo shoots...

Last year I had a model cancel on me on a shoot that had been arranged for a couple of months, she was visiting from the Channel Islands. When I told her It would still cost me ?35, she agreed to pay it. Couple of weeks later she credited my account. I was surprised, but pleased. Presumably she is in the minority.

The real truth behind a lot of "no shows" is that many of them do not take this line of business seriously

They see it as someone wanting to pay for a shag or see them naked therefore dont think nor care for the loss or cost to the person that has booked them.

They are also unaware of any comeback on them if they are unreliable. As long as this business appears disorganised and fragmented, why should anyone take it seriously?

The same goes for the no show producers who are usually in it for a shag and try to get the model rates low. If the business appears more professional then maybe it would reduce the no shows significantly

The thing with all this is it always impacts on those who are more professional in their approach and this applies to amateurs who are aspiring professionals

I've not heard of any no shows when girls and producers meet at official industry networking events.

Just stop to think about what it must be like for someone to meet up in a hotel or studio and you might think why its possible some girls cant be bothered to see it the same way you might see it

Establish connection at a network event and the same meeting will have a more positive result

I have to say over the last 5 years Terry every bit of face time I have put in has lead to a shoot that has always come off.

Sorry hotel room maybe... but if a model as a problem meeting up in a studio ??? Seriously... Also when you have been shooting 11 years and you show them your profile with 48 positive references... not really accepting there should be any doubt as to the seriousness of the offer...

On the rare occasions that we shoot in the UK, as a rule of thumb, out of say 5 girls booked for shoots, I will expect 1 or maybe 2 to actually show up. The normal excuses are problems picking up tests, dead or ill, grannies/ grandads/ cats/ dogs/ budgies/, periods, train de-railments. The All time classic, was years ago shooting in Ibiza, I was speaking to a model on the phone who was at Stanstead, she announced, "Got to go, just boarding the plane!"....Guess what, she must have bailed out over the Bay of Biscay, because she wasn't on the plane when it landed!I remember also putting a girl on the train home, when she turned up with a test, written in woggly, 6 year old style writting done in pencil, with spelling mistakes! lol

I could maybe do last minute cancellations! Message me-depends what the shoot is. Im Swindon/Oxford/Bristol for last minutes!xxx
I appreciate this! I have just been to Amsterdam and paid for the whole trip only to get cancelled on because I got a small tattoo on my foot!!

DAMN! I'd tell them to pay for my travel if anyone did that to me!
