Hi Glams,

Webmasters are limited in what they can do to stop dodgy people/timewasters and sometimes action such as was taken by Donna is the only way.
For the past 18 mths or so, I have been contacted by an individual posing as a producer/performer and he has offered myself and others work, only to disappear after a date has been set for a shoot. He uses a variety of aliases and forgets that he sends the same photos of himself out with the same mobile phone number and when caught out he apologises and promises to cease wasting time, yet the same behaviour always follows.
This individual has recently morphed into a female "producer" and again "she" sends out the same photo of the "performer/producer" as the male partner for a bg shoot! He (before his incarnation as a female) even had a model who posts on this forum, travel from the north to the London area only to disappear on her.
I have repeatedly contacted bgafd about him and he's been banned from this site but creates different profiles and obviously uses a different pc so he can't be traced. My point is that with the best will in the world, webmasters can only do so much and therefore in certain cases, it is necessary to name and shame as Donna has done - of course naming and shaming can't be done here for legal reasons.
I'm not advocating frivolous naming of anyone but on occasions, I feel that what Donna and others have done, is justified and is supportive of other models.

Obviously no name has been mentioned but i believe i have a damn good idea who you are talking about. The "photographer" mentioned should be named and shamed and i believe he will be, very soon.
I have learnt from my short time in this industry, if something seems to be to good to be true it usually is.

Thanks - got the mail, I recognise a couple of those names as people who joined as male models but got killed for lack of info.

One of them was on my site as a producer but is now profile deleted and user blocked so I think that renders him invisble and unable to contact any one. (If I just deleted they could have rejoined with the same email).

Everyone knows the rules where BGAFD are concerned. If you cant abide by the rules then ....well you know what to do

Not that I dont see your point and it seems like a lot of forums have have adopted the same rules because no one wants to get their fingers burned with libel cases.

UKAP have a secret models forum where they can share this information among themselves and NO blokes who perform aint allowed on it. Not even me because we believe that not as many blokes are stalked by dodgy producers or togs or we believe blokes who are can handle themselves by opening up a can of whoop ass.

The BGAFD is popular, maybe they should adopt the same membership by password and have a trustworthy girl with her ear to the ground moderate it so that it is all done above board.

People who have criticised UKAP for allowing this judge jury and executioner type of service should think about this:

If you aint guilty of anything then whats your problem? Us producers are in the same boat as everyone and if we screw up then the girls should know about it.

Theres far too many horny and dodgy people out there at the moment and it makes sense that at least someone take the initiative to help out and guys, one last thing

Dont try to impersonate a girl and say you work in the industry as there are vetting procedures and ways to inform models of dodgy people out there.
