At the minute my site makes no money, there isn?t even a members section, I run it just for fun! That?s why I am interested in affiliate schemes, they are the first step on the way to getting the money to fund models for the pictures for the membership section.

It?s proving extremely successful (the server is now taking many millions of hits each year) as there doesn?t appear to be anyone out there doing the same as me, it?s for that reason that I would not divulge the URL of the site as I would not want people to copy my idea.

From what I can see the main key to getting hits is to be unique in what you do.

Regarding the accountant I was thinking perhaps there is trade body formed by the adult industry to which accountants, etc.. who are ?adult friendly? subscribe. That way it would have been easier to find someone who would help rather than someone who becomes embarrassed as soon as they are aware of what I am doing.

The hun is ok, a couple of years ago we paid for top 10 spots on there for over a year, it is very expensive but at the time we did find it worth while.

Paul L.............thanks for your opinions on the Hun. It would appear to be a freebie hunters paradise........however i wonder if your lower conversion rates are anything to do with the fact that you are primarily "softcore" site. Most of the Huns stuff I have seen is hardcore.

Randyandy.......you mention the site you were talking about (with 300k hits) is youporn.
Youporn and Pornotube are imatators of the super successfull Youtube site. Veoh.com used to feature porn, but now dont allow it - as does youtube etc.
I believe such marketing on sites like these is called "viral marketing"
Am i right in thinking that the idea is to send a clip with the url of the site featured in it - so that one gets visits to your paysite? If so then im sure that such marketing can be much effective (as the non porn Youtube has been for other marketeers) Has anybody found success this way?

Also randyandy has twice mentioned bangbros. In the past when i first went on the web and went looking for "free" porn, i came across the numerous password sharing sites out there. Most of them were shite with pop ups - redirect pages etc (which served my freeloading ass right lol)........but one thing i noticed was just how many so called passes were listed for the bangbros sites. Now call me cynical - but i wonder just how complicit sites like Bangbros are, in posting there own fake userpasses to such sites - in the hope of generating extra hits - and thus signups to their network. I mean theres no such thing as bad advertising - is there!

This is a free site Dave - Morphettes

As you can see, you can then host TGP's off your free site to allow people to check them out.

Welshmorph.........I was just having a gander at your site earlier this afternoon lol...........im assuming these are feeder pages to drive people to signup for your paysite - onlyteaze.com, however im sure i saw a pic of Faith (from inbedwith)....so am i right in thinking that you are using these pages to drive traffic to your own sites - but that you are also acting as an affiliate for others?

Mr kinky..........your site that is generating a lot of traffice - does it feature material you have produced yourself - or others? If its yours then are you not better creating your own paysite? (and not sharing a dime) If on the other half you have been featuring "other" peoples material for the past year or so - then im surprised that you didnt set up affiliate accounts with them from the beginning.........as it looks like you are missing out on potential revenue.

tas........i find the Hun a bugger to navigate as far as listing on it goes. Is there a set tariff that they charge to get into the top ten?

thanks in advance folks

the hun don't deal with the advertising directly, these people do it for them when we were paying for top 10 spots we were paying $2000 per month which is 10 galleries.(1 every 3 days) and as I mentioned before we did this every month for well over a year.

Dave, my paysite is UKTeaze.com, not onlytease.
I've had my free sites for over a year now, I also have xxxmorphettes.com which features nude and hard stuff. Originaly it was just a way for me to promote other paysites, so the hosted galleries on there was just sites that I am an affiliate of.

Now that I do have my own paysite, I obviously use it as a way of sending myself traffic, but also it still function's as it did originaly in promoting other paysites.

It is 75% other peoples material but 25% my presentation of that content. I have been VERY selective about the content (only the kinkiest material appears on my site!). I have approached professional photographers to produce content for me but they had difficulty finding girls who would be prepared to get involved.

Yes, I should have started on the affiliate programmes from the start, however I did not do that for two reasons: 1) I have had difficulty finding an accountant who will deal with me and 2) It?s best not to do affiliates from the start because your site will look like a TGP, convince the customers you are different and you will provide a unique experience, you have to build the hits up before you start ?being clever?, a solid customer base with returning visitors is far more important than joining every affiliate scheme.

You're right I have been loosing out on lots of money, but I have a solid customer base that's focused on my niche market, now that's worth it's weight in gold!

1) Ask your bank for a dollar account.

If they play silly, try citibank.

2) It's the same as anything else - you pay tax on your profits.

But I think if you search here, maybe the archive, there was an accountant advertising here.
