it also looked to me like some of the comments made were saying anyone not with 10 years of web building and a ten year uni course in the art of the internet was not a web master.

By the way to most of you.. The original point of Marino's post has been hijacked to discuss design concepts..

Sorry Marino.. I hope Matt could help you :)

No we was talking about people claiming to be a webmaster having done a 6 month course and then proving to inept at doing the job, as marino mentioned in his post and my point was in simple terms,

You buy a mongrel you dont get a champion no matter how many ribbons you put in its hair, but you buy a dog with a pedigree history you get a good championship grade dog.

or

Would you buy a ?1000 car with 1 month MOT and no service history, log book or other information ? Would you hell, you want a service history and some more info about that the cars done in the past, what parts are replaced, how big the engine is, etc etc.

The same goes for a webmaster, you want to know what skills they have, what they have done in the past, have they got a pedigree or education, have they got a history of maintaining and expanding a site ? you want more information...

Marino aint going to say "Hey buddy, nice name, my ftp addy is, my username is, and my password, and the username and passwords are rhe same on my billing and everything, go have fun", he's gonna ask him some questions about experience and skills and stuff, and if he doesnt more fool him.

Finny how you only decided to mention Marinos post after making your original comment.

By the way to you if you had read the messages between Cenobites and myself you would have noticed an appology was made to Marino for doing it!
