Thanks for your comments Finkichadi. This thread has indeed gone off on a tangent thanks to my 'ignorance'. For the record, I am neither amateur or professional but instead a big fan of beautiful women & pornography. My wife is one of the most successful women in 'the industry' over the last ten years & has 34E boobs....& therefore of the genre Tim is looking for.

My original comments are purely derived from a belief that ?135 for highly desired material that could still be knocking around the web & shelves for years to come, isn't a great offer. But that's my opinion & I'm entitled to it.

I agree with Joe on this as models who want extra for a model release should be given a wide berth, the girls should include the price in their fee's when advertising etc.
I do big boob shoots for private photographers/videographers as i can earn more this way but i always point out that i only worked (unpublished shoots) Saying this lately i've just done my first Pro photo shoots, one for Phil & Sarah (best photographer i've meet in years) & a monthly shoot for a new big boob site.

James...

Thanks for your last post :)

Tims basic offer is about the norm for the level of work he wants. Unfortunately the modelling industry isn't like the music industry where royalties are paid for ever. A model does her job, gets paid and then the photographer gets on with his, which is to get the money back :)

In fact the mag publishers are the ones who do use pics over and over again for years. The photographer doesn't get paid again for this use of his work. I was shooting a model one day and showed her two issues of a mag she was in where they'd repeated the same set of pics. The publisher made the money from this, no one else :( I worked with another model who was in the same mag and she told me she'd done that shoot over 5 years before and neither she nor the photographer were paid more for this use...

So, if you think your wife could work for Tim.. Send him her pics.. He is a good and genuine guy...

Hi Guys

Thanks for your kind comments Joe and James if you want to send pics of your wife please do and we can consider a shoot.

This was no war between Ams and Pros as far as I was concernd it just frustrating when working in this industry for a living everyone takes the money away from the photographers and models...As photographers we even front the mags for months before we get paid.... food for thought eh??

Cheers

Tim

Hi James

A lot of Pro's on this site started out Amateurs & still do Amateur shoots (a bit like us) we are of the opinion let Pro/amateur think their great as the work seldom differs, most Amateurs stay out of the rat race on the surface but work a lot harder than most Pro's behind the scenes because this is what's expected of them so a little humour goes a long way.
A few of us models still have free sites for the fans that put them there in the first place not forgetting our roots but we still need our pay sites to survive.
10 years in this business & i still don't understand its politic's
I agree with James the fee's for the above job are not brilliant but the model as the choice at the end of the day.

He is Clarifying that YOU and HE are 2 DIFFERENT PEOPLE!

IF you turn out yo be crank, not saying you are, BUT IF, it could have a Knock on Effect with your name being similar...

A better example would be me signing up called Photo-Media and posting that i pay the girls ?1.50 an hour and model release upon sale, people wouldnt really distinguish your name with the _ and mine witht he -, so he is protecting his interest as any shewd businesman should.

Pro Rates (Published) and Am Rates (Unpublished) =

I remember a while back alot of Models used to have 2 rates, a rate for pro's that reflects the Model Release and a Rate for Ameteurs that was slightly lower and does not include a release.

I still see this here and there around the net, with am rates and pro rates, so i think the model should be aware of who she selling to, and the tog aware of this difference,

Altho saying this the line between Am, Pro-Am, and Pro is VERY blurred with some Ams doing better work, and some Pro's doing a piss poor job, so i think the prices should be equalised as there isnt alot of difference.

IF your a brand new photographer look for TFP models to perfect your skills which shouldnt require, need or warrant a model release, once your ready to pay a model, you should be expected to pay the full rate for a pro full time model, so they should be equalised on this basis.
