(That is almost exactly word for word what a few people said to us back in the 90s before putting everything online We have never looked back. But where are they now)
They may be warming their face muscles for the last laugh?

More weight for the .xxx TLD's easier for Adult media control and ISP blocking perhaps. It's all on the cards especially with the yanks, their current debate topic is a 25% Adult tax stopped at source to pay for the policing of the net. We tend to follow and assist !

The state will never be able to censor the internet because the internet will defy any such attempt by technology.

And so said Gary Glitter, Pete Townsend, Marc Almond, that copper working for the MET but no doubt they would not make such bold statements now?

But of course neither GG or PT got caught via high tech methods:
Gary Glitter took his child porn into PC World.
Pete Townsend used his credit card to subscribe to a site that was busted.
I don't know about the other two, but most people prosecuted are caught because others stumbled on the material (i.e. work machine, DVD, printed picture etc.), they used their own credit card or they were in email contact with known perverts and a member of the ring is caught, leaving an easy trail to the rest. Police posing as perverts on boards often get others to send them illegal material, thereby incriminating themselves instantly. Half of all the young girls looking for sex on the net are probably 39 year old detectives.
Don't overestimate their ability to catch anyone via high tech methods, Data Protection laws make life very difficult to come by prima-facie evidence that way.
