On Net model there are "Model" and "Photographer" reference forums.. Unfortunately these are often used by both a model and photographer to make comments in anger.

I was at the end of this problem earlier this year. A model claimed I coerced her in to a toys shoot, which was 2 years ago.. DUH. Luckily I still had emails from her to prove she was lieing, as I could supply details for the original booking and emails from her a few months later asking when I'd work with her again... Not something a model would do if she wasn't happy to work with me.

That's just an example of what could happen with a name and shame forum, even if it was kept locked to industry persons only. It's not a good idea.

This has also happened to other photographers I know, and I've seen models put down unfairly, so having suffered I can comment about what can occur.....

If anyone does have an axe to grind then post here:

The title of the site says it all :)

i remember the first time i booked a model through walpole they said i would have to do the shoot at thier studio or they would send the girl to me if i could provide a reference from another model i had worked with previously.i suppose this was to make sure i was genuine.if girls are going to make thier own arrangements i suppose this is the chance they take.by the way this isnt a dig at girls who choose to work freelance as i dont like using agencies because of the booking fee

there is a situation where anyone can post on here, offer to pay a decent rate, and get replies, they could be anyone, as was posted earlier in the thread someone just wants to tell their mates they talked to a real life porn star.

How can the girls tell the difference between a real job and a time waster?

I dont see how to get away from this without regulations that would be unworkable and far too restrictive on those of us who really mean it when they book someone

Hi Nige
I am really sorry that i had to cancell that shoot with Kym and Faye, as i had come down with a bad cold a few days before..
I would of gone to the shoot as i don't like leting anyone down ( ask anyone, i am very reliable),
but i like to be 99-100% fit when working...
It doesn't look good in my view, if the guy is coughing all over everybody, and i certainly don't want to pass on the germs to kym and faye as if they got what i had then it would put them out of work for a week or so...
I am really sorry that i didn't get to work with Kym and Faye, but i am now nearly back to my old self..
