I'm confused about what the criteria is here. Some mainstream actresses "happen to appear" in hardcore movies but they themselves never did HC (this is the case with Monique Gabrielle, for instance). In some cases, a soft movie was turned into HC after the film was shot (this is the case with the HC inserts in Carmen Russo's Pornokillers which was turned into a HC Salamandre). Also, some HC in mainstream movies has been faked (it is common knowledge in the industry that for Cloe Sevirgny's apparent "blowjob" in Brown Bunny the "penis" was actually a latex dildo).
It strikes me as no big deal that B level actresses or entertainers (Lilli Carati, Paola Senatore, Marina Hedman, Minnie Minoprio, Karin Schubert, etc) gravitated to porn as they got older, usually to support a drug habit. In the old days they became hookers or "escorts", these days they do porn.
What I find much more interesting are actresses that start out in porn, and are later fully accepted in the mainstream -- Brigite Lahaie and Eva Hemnger are classic examples.
