"As you can see, David uses the statements and opinions of others, to justify his own false statements."
Well given I am not an international lawyer or a former head of the United Nations, it seems reasonable to quote from the umpteen lawyers who agree with me that the Iraq War was illegal.
Given you are clearly not an international lawyer I can only assume that your knowledge that we are all wrong is based on divine guidance.
"It doesn't matter what others think or say. My argument is with David and his claim that Iraq war was illegal"
I had kinda got that impression i.e. the beliefs of umpteen lawyers is irrelevant to you. However I do think your comparison between the Iraq War and the bloke from Coronation Street as an alternative to taking into account the views of umpteen international lawyers and a former head of the UN is a bit, err, strange.
"And, as you can see......he talks up me 'demanding' things before I debate with him. While this is true, the 'demands' are hardly outrageous"
Do I sense an acceptance of what I am saying? Blimey, time to break open that bottle of champagne.
"My demand (I'd rather call them 'requests')
Bugger, I'd better put the champagne unopened back in the fridge.
"Maybe he thinks he's above everyone else on the forum and that the same rules and expectations of courtesy do not apply to him"
Ah well, according to you Sam, I am disingenuous, slimy, should "fuck off", vain, don't believe what I say etc. etc. and now discourteous. I apologise for not living up to your high standards of courtesy to forumites such as to quote you "that cunt, Argie"
"And after the implications I don't care about 96 people being crushed to death, he has the gall to not only refuse to apologise, but paint himself as the victim because I 'demand' one. He really thinks he's better than us all. Egoist."
Well in fact this is a complete misrepresentation as I have already explained to you here.
But alas you don't even seem to want to read the post before letting fly. At least I have the "courtesy" to actually read your posts before commenting.
"I see he's replied to me again, 3 times since yesterday evening. I've not clicked on them yet but I'm guessing they're not an admission of being wrong and that he's trying yet again to worm his way out of it and to divert attention on to me."
Now some might view your attitude as rather "egoist". I could not possibly comment.
Enjoy your evening.

Thanks for the update on your thoughts.
Personally, I have been on tenterhooks waiting for this.
Err, time for a holiday Sam?

I good little analogy that David had no answer to.
He could only attempt to dismiss it. The hoops he'll jump to save face.
