Dear Cunty,

1). Where in the following statement "YOUR FAVORITE BRITISH COMEDY SERIES OF ALL TIME"is the word sitcom mentioned ? Try reading the original postthread idea again !

2). Also the idea of the original post/thread was for each individual to state their case for their own personal favourite without any intimidation - "This is designed to get the members of the forum talking and laughing without biting each others heads off scoring points with cynical putdowns." So well done Cunty, you've fucked it up already.

THUS :-

3). Keep your stupid opinions to yourself !

Auf Pet - probably one of the best written comedey programs ever.
Two writers behind much the UK's defining comedey - The Likely Lads
Porridge and a lot more - Dick Clement and Ian Lafrenais wrote
these programs and when you watch them again they have not aged unlike
some other crud that passes for comedey that you see on tv.

Auf Pet made stars of Jimmy Nail Pat Roach Tim Spall Kevin Weatley Christopher Fairbanks
Gary Holton and Tim Healy. Some were famous before but they went stratospheric after this program.

Dont split hairs about it being a comedey or a sit-com - the program produced belly laughs by the spade.

This is a tricky one. When I put the post up in the first place I should have said sit-com, that is what I mean by comedy.

I would describe Auf Pet as a comedy drama however so in a way you are both right.

But from now on lets stick to sitcoms.

Yes I assumed that's what you meant sitcoms... oops, sorry Dave.

"Dont split hairs about it being a comedey or a sit-com - the program produced belly laughs by the spade."

Comedy and sit-com are virtually the same. 'Sit-com' is short for 'situation comedy'. So there is little difference.

Well up to a point. A sitcom is a comedy but a comedy is not always a sitcom.
