As I mentioned in another comment I think Livingstone will be remembered for hugely improving public transport in London. Buses are very reliable now and have been since he improved them when he was Mayor, prior to then you could wait three-quarters of an hour for a bus, and you regularly did, when they were meant to be every 10 minutes. The Oyster Card has been a good thing too.

Ken Livingstone was used to getting a slating from the press, I remember The Sun doing a big front page feature when he was elected Mayor and they did a take on that thing from South Park. It said "OH NO, THEY'VE ELECTED KENNY!!" (a take on the "they've killed Kenny" thing). They had a picture of Livingstone's face with the body of the cartoon Kenny, and referred to him as 'a strange little red person'. Ken Livingstone can take it all, it never bothered him.

I also like using an oyster, its a good idea long over due.
I really don't get why people vote for boris. I didn't vote for Ken either.

But the Oyster card was not Livingstone's idea. Thank God David Johnson lives in Blackpool or he would be banging on about the deregulation of the buses. I haven't used buses regularly since I was at school but when I do they don't seem any different ? apart from the driver sitting behind what looks like bulletproof glass and CCTV everywhere.

That nasal arsehole Livingston stands more chance than the odious self seeking Galloway.

Galloway has an enormous ego, he demands to be on TV all the time and seems to be of the view that the whole nation will be somehow worse off if he is not in everyone's living room at least once every week or two. One plus-point here is that in most debates leading up to the Mayoral elections they will only have the candidates from the main three parties debating/being interviewed - so that will mean Galloway, the Green Party candidate, the BNP person, and several independents, won't be on TV much.
