There is the added difficulty in that although many immigrants who come here from eastern Europe do indeed work hard and do not claim benefits, they do not spend the money they earn in the UK but send it back home to their families.
They do indeed send money back, but so what? They earned the money and paid taxes already. And given that half the decent porn stars this site is dedicated to, regularly earn money in Europe and the US, to then come home and spend in UK shops, you're welcome to go on the promo board and slag them all off for doing so.

And don't many British families save up a good portion of their money, then go spend in abroad on a few holidays every year?

It's too late. To quote the man from Dad's Army: "we're doomed!".

"Poles have a serious work ethic. My neighbour is Polish, a graduate and works hard. He is staying here and paying taxes. I cannot see the same happening with Romanians and Bulgarians. "

Can I add to your insightful comments?

The British are very patriotic and enjoy repeats of Dad's Army.

The French are great lovers.

The Germans can only save and never buy anything.

All West Indians are great dancers.

Mexicans will kill you at the drop of the hat.

Rumanians and Bulgarians never take courses after leaving school.

There you go Argie, try to remember the above and it will save you wearing out another one or two brain cells.

Really? You don't think the majority work cash in hand? Even Labour admits that there are around 100,000 Poles in this country but as DJ's figures from the ONS reveal there are only 22,000 or so registered (can't be bothered to look at his post to get the exact figure) so what about the other 78,000?

You appear to be getting hopelessly confused.

The figure of 22,597 which I quote from the ONS refers to the number of UNEMPLOYED Poles as I clearly state here...

You reply to this post here

with

"Since there are apparently only 22,597 Poles officially employed in this country and Labour admit that there are far more than that actually here, a goodly number must be working illegally so they are not benefiting the economy in paying tax and national insurance"

And then you reply to Sam with "Really? You don't think the majority work cash in hand? Even Labour admits that there are around 100,000 Poles in this country but as DJ's figures from the ONS reveal there are only 22,000 or so registered (can't be bothered to look at his post to get the exact figure) so what about the other 78,000?"

What are you on about?

I see you like to use your adversary's statistics when they suit your own agenda. Pity you misread them, lol.
