!wink!
I reckon his phone must be actually giving him the amount of minutes taken per mile.
A really rather brisk pace at 5mph, comes in at 12 min per mile, which is;
a. vastly more believable.
b. possible.
Good luck to him losing the timber though.

Indeed. My best half marathon was around 1:26 and that was when I was about 26 year old. I'd have been mighty pissed off if some 16 stone fat bloke breezed past me and he was just walking!
Nob3y's on more uppers than Lance Armstrong! !laugh!

Ouch. Good luck with that. It's pretty common in people who are overweight. Swimming is a good way to keep fit whilst you're recovering the buoyancy will prevent the weight pushing down on the scar tissue after surgery.
It's imperative you don't put the weight you've lost back on again during recovery.

I only got his word for that, sounds a bit big to me?!?!
I did ask him to suck some fat out while he was there but no joy.... bugger

Good luck with it,I think to keep it off you need to maintain good habits.

Sorry state of affairs here.
Could not get comfy in bed lastnight,it just hurt my belly no matter what position I tried.Ended up bailing out in the early hours and ended up sleeping in my office chair as thats the only place I can sit without it hurting.
Looks like Im sleeping in the office chair tonight !!

Sounds like a right pain.
Not sure how big the surgery wound is now but you may wish to try a circular bandage.
Basically roll a large bandage, or small towel, into a doughnut/ring shape. With the central hole big enough to go over the wound/stitches.
Put it over the wound and then secure it in place with another bandage around your waist.
It'll look as daft as hell but it will hopefully take some of the direct pressure off it, whilst you're sleeping.
Worth a try at least. Good luck. !ambulance!
