yeah I am sure the lad was actually arrested for his whole twitter feed which seem to consist of racially abusing people, threatening young girls with rape and violence and death threats

the tom daley tweet just highlighted this individual to the police, I am sure he is being questioned about the rest of his feed - which is severe serial killer type stuff

No it didn't. The police only became involved because a member of the public complained to the police about being threatened on twitter and the police therefore read all the tweets made by the person concerned.

The 17 year old was later handed a harassment warning and released on bail.
Looks like the police are digging a hole for themselves.
