I think Team PG's leering and apparent drunken leering was all part of Danny Boyles reflection on daily life in Britain! Getting Mr T to do the design of their outfits was a masterpiece!

Some people are poring scorn on the cerenomy because of the inclusion of Mr Bean, the Queen and Bond etc. Don't they realise people like the Queen, Mr Bean and Bond are recognised throughout the World. The director had to choose people that Britain is internationally famous for, otherwise 1billion people would have been sitting there thinking, "Who the fuck is that?" if they'd had your typical, present day celebs. Although why they included the Arctic Monkeys is anyones guess. I know they're Irish, but I think U2 playing "Its a beautiful Day" could have been brilliant. Probably can't re enter the UK for tax reasons!

Anyway as far as celebs are concerned, who would you have had? Politicians? Kerry Katona? Gazza? The cast of, "The only way is Essex? When you see how chintzy foreign TV is, then the ceronomy ticked all the right boxes, a nice balance of chintz and class, with an international appeal.

Probably more representative of GB! "Here's Gazza! re-enacting at typical weekend scene in every UK town, pissing in a shop doorway"

Mind the queen's opened the fucking door now, next we'll be having Charles and Camilla on strictly come dancing.

Dunno, surely Her Maj would have referred to him as Commander Bond. Bit of a gaff there.

Or would you prefer to get rid of the Queen and replace her with:

Mr Bean, doesn't seem quite so bad now, eh?

I still think we should have had Chas & Dave, with a thousand hen-night girls dancing away!

Or perhaps Danny could have dispensed with his NHS masterpiece and replaced it with 500 trestle tables each with a drunken chav sprawled accross it, to the tune of Trainspotting's, "Lager! Lager!"

intertwined with a charming depiction of football fans en masse filling the arena from all sides in their thousands and culminating in a mass brawl, with a giant effigy of the "Hooligan Child" rising from the floor giving the audience a huge finger!..........all to "Lager!" "Lager!" belting out at 1 Megawatt! Awesome!
