Ah well, Blackpool did better than expected. Despite getting "Hammered" 8-1 in the two League games, Blackpool made more chances and played better football than West Ham, particularly in the second half.

But they didn't take those chances and a killer second goal came along 3 minutes from full time. Mind, I reckon we should have had a penalty near the death.

So that's the end of that then!! Good Luck to West Ham.

The other problem that Blackpool had is that it has owners, the Oyston family whose purse strings are tighter than a centipede's arse. The stories about their meanness in Blackpool are legion. Having said that they took over ownership when the ground was close to being sold to a supermarket and they got from the Third Division to the Premiership in 10 years under them.

Thank Christ for the increase in parachute payments anyway. The Oystons might be persuaded to fork out a bit more than 50p next season.
