Mr Lizard, last year I actually DID see David Cameron's book for sale in Poundland, I even got a picture of it with some tape over it saying, "BARGAIN ONLY ?1!" but I can't get it off my Blackberry to post it!

You've all heard of the Madness of King George 111, but he is positively sane, when you compare him to the PC nutters of New Labour, who were running things up to a couple of years ago!

Now, I m a British subject, born here and have worked and paid tax all my life, so to New Labour I was an, "Enemy of the State" to be watched closely, monitored at all times and of course fleeced. Anyway, a few years ago, under New Labour, I applied for a new passport and went through a mountain of checks, including being scowled at by an inspector at the passport office, looking at my forms, back at me again, I mean I really fit the profile of a terrorist don't I? In the end I was granted what is known as a Biometric passport, a classic New Labour device to aid snooping and information gathering on law abiding citizens.

A Biometric passport is what British subjects who wish to travel must now hold, it contains digital very personal information so they can check whether you are an "undesirable" or not, it has a little chip with it all the info stored on it.

Now when you come back into the UK, us British Subjects holding such passports are coralled into a "pen", by a burley security guard, glowering at you, sometimes there's a heavily armed cop, nervously fingering a Heckler & Koch MP5 machine gun, with a magazine crammed with dum dum bullets, after all, you are a British Subject, returning to the UK and you might, heaven forbid, not have filed your tax return that year or have some unpaid parking tickets!

Eventually you are waved into a scanner, which is a robot that carefully scans every detail of your face and painstakingly scans your passport chip for any possible flaw that could render you to be wrestled to the ground and then dragged off and interrogated, in the end a little gate is grindingly opened and just like a cow, you are grudgingly allowed back into your homeland...........

Regrdless of whether this event occurred since New labour were booted out, the point is it was THEY who set up this crazy, mad system where Political Correctness, treats a known, crazed , Lithuanian madman like a king, disregarding all checks, when HE enters the UK, to commit murder and treats the actual residents of the UK like common criminals!

If we set aside the obvious inaccuracy and bias in much of your post, Bamboo, it has some partial truth in it. Thatcherism was a success electorally. Even when prior to the Falklands War, Thatcher had a poll rating lower than next door's labrador, she still managed to turn it round by giving what for to the Argies.

Blair would have noted that the more left wing views of Kinnock were hammered by the 90% of the UK press who's owners obviously wanted the situation where unions were trashed and the public's assets flogged off cheap to continue. So in order to get elected Labour under Blair had to play the media game, getting close to arseholes like Murdoch. In addition, Brown had to bang on about "prudence non-stop for 2 years before the 97 election and 3 or 4 years after. So in that sense Thatcherism had an impact on New Labour.

Having said that, what is completely undeniable, and Jimbo not being a complete idiot knows that, is there are substantial differences between Tories and Labour.

THere was nothing special about the sell off of council houses by Thatcher. It was as disastrous as the sell-off of utilities etc. Why? Basically it meant that housing that we, the taxpayer, had paid for, was given away at a knock down price as part of a privatisation programme just like the utilties.

Who gained? As with the privatisation programme, the general taxpayer lost every way. They lost their assets sold for next to nothing. The state housing stock was reduced hugely and the cost of private rent soared to the sort of state we see now whereby the taxpayer yet again foots the bill in housing benefit which goes straight into private and corporate hands.

Seeing your heap of cards come tumbling down must be a litle depressing I must admit. You constantly contradict yourself, on the one hand you publish reams of New Labour "Achievements" that you'd have us all believe will have influenced things well beyond the life of the last government.

But on the other hand when New Labour have left a load of shit for someone else to clear up, you quickly blame the Tories. So in other words any long lasting stuff which is "good" is thanks to New Labour, but anything long lasting like the bankruptcy of the country is EVERYONE ELSES FAULT, apart from New Labours. So for you as a crazed New Labour fanatic, its a win win situation. You are a bit like a fundamentalist Christian, where it's always Man's fault he gets shit, never God's!

So just to reiterate, the culture of PC prejudice against British Subjects entering and leaving the UK is a long lasting remnant of New Labour's madcap policy of political correctness.

Oh yes, can you take up my challenge to explain how if New Labour created a "Land O' Plenty" and sheer wonderfulness for us all, how come they didn't win the last election by a landslide. Kindly answer the question without using the word, "Tory" or using any insulting or condascending language!

You already know the answer to this one. !boring! There was something called a global recession brought on by a banking crisis which affected a huge range of countries, not just the UK. That is why, just as in other countries, the party in power, lost at the next election whether they were responsible for the banking collapse or not.

Now Jimbo, where is that list of positive things that THatcher did? Or are you not up to the task?
