Good old Blackpool , David. I have a certain fondness for the place, partly
based on distant memories of my youth - as there is nothing else in the
world like an english seaside resort (in bad and good ways) and Blackpool
is also unique.
Being a proud Norfolkman, I always remember that the Rev. Harold
Davidson, the unfrocked vicar of Stiffkey in Norfolk, who lost his battle to
be a parish priest after many years administering to the prostitutes of
Soho (instead of his godfearing flock in Norfolk), ended his days inside a
barrel on Blackpool Pier. He offered to stick his head inside a lion. Got
eaten ! Thus becoming unquestionably the last christian martyr to die in
a lion`s den ! What a great eccentric ! And all at Blackpool.

Agreed. Love it or loathe it, Blackpool is an extraordinary place.

When I hear people moaning about Blackpool I am always reminded to suggest they spend 6 months working in Stevenage as I have in the past. The thought of Stevenage is enough to make me feel a little ill.

Cheers

I would prefer if Cuadrilla had a lengthy test process in Cameron's Witney constituency.

Preferably in his backyard.
