A lot less than the eventual cost to the taxpayer if we'd won the thing I'll bet.

Mr Tickle very funny but I do think that this proves that Fifa fixed it to make sure England would never get the World Cup. I mean England clearly put up the best bid in my opinion, altho weather wise id probably have gone for Spain Portugal lol.

Looking at the first rounds England got 2 votes, USA 3 votes and Australia 1 vote. I guess many still have an aversion for the Anglo-Saxons!

Let?s take a moment to pause and mourn the passing of david beckham?s knighthood bid (part one)?..

Let?s also spare a thought for sky sports news which now has an eight year calendar for sale on eBay.

Also look on the positive side -

Many parents can now rest easier at night knowing that their daughters are no longer considering a career as a wag and instead of memorising the phone numbers of the editors of ok, hello, and the news of the world, sharpening their lipsticks, employing max Clifford as their publicist and drawing up plans for their x factor and I?m (was) a ?celebrity? get me in there are revising for their gcse?s as they should be.

A generation of young footballer?s can now concentrate on the important things - shagging models, mates girlfriends, fighting in nightclubs, alcohol abuse, shining all their shiny things (watch, bracelets, cars) and their enormous ? bank accounts instead of being burdened with the weight of the nations expectations of winning the 2018 world cup.

And let?s think of the winners Russia, backed by a billionaire, Qatar, backed by billionaire?s, which proves that in the face of all else money talks.

And a further thought for the members of the fifa executive at the 2018 world cup - billionaires will obviously provide a better class of hooker rather than Mavis, 42, bored housewife of who know?s where who smells of curry and got sacked from her job at the chip shop when her boil burst in the peas who does the occasional bit on the side ?50 without, ?60 with (her teeth in).

I see that Putin swore that there was no bribery involved in Russia being awarded the the right to stage a competition for overpaid undertalented arseholes in some of Europes shitholes.
The fucking Russians are the world masters of duplicity and misinformation. Putin is a politician and no different from any others, they ALL lie through their teeth and it is easy to spot when they are lying. The bastards open their fucking mouths.

View of England from Prvda-after the vote.Personally I don't think that they are too wrong. Why does England need to saddle itself with a ''World Cup'' put on by a bunch of crooks?
