But do any of these people you KNOW actually enjoy your company?
Do they know what you seem to really think about them and 'their kind?'

A Fact - (wow)

Post by Daz Savage »

Okay for all the daft buggers who know so little about anything here's a simple fact.
The welfare state (that bugbear for all small-minded people who think it all comes out of their pockets and who begrudge anything to anyone) was not brought about because of any intention to help support the poor.
There were some do-gooders who genuinely wanted to increase the sorry lot of those they saw selling their children to 'murder-houses' and the like in places such as Covent Garden... but in the main the people voting for reform know that a diseased, unhealthy and starving underclass was a dangerous thing.
Since the privileged class (and by that we now mean anyone above a minimum wage since the poverty-divide has become so broad) are in a serious minority - more than ever before, what do you think the poor would do if they seriously couldn't eat?
Now imagine a man... part of the underclass who could in no way feed his children (or cat). Suppose you had somehow caused a change in the law and the poor could just go and fuck themselves - this man too, hahahahaha?
Suppose as a result you were charged less tax (won't happen, only idiots think this - tax is not calculated by proposed spending but by what bullshit the public will wear without revolt).
Now suppose you and this man meet down a dark alley. He with his desperate and starving children... you with your opulent riches...

Whatever the outcome of this hypothetical situation I'm sure that you would prefer to do without it. Not least of all because it wouldn't be one man one time - it would be every starving man... all fucking day.

They say that to ignore history is to be doomed to repeat it.
Have you heard of revolutionary France? We're not there yet but we're beginning to look a whole lot like it... and it doesn't go at all well for the fat bastards saying "let them eat cake."
Neither will it help you as they drag you to a lamp-post (read the lanterns) by saying that you KNEW a poor person once and they seemed all right.

"As for pensioners my old Gran manages, she had the sense to put a bit away." "I KNOW people(one of them a family member i'm afraid) who are long term unemployed."

Well that proves your case then. I love the emphasis on KNOW by the way.

Ever thought of a career in statistics? The Government needs people like you with an analytical mind to consider a proposition and build statistical evidence to support that proposition or otherwise.

I havent got the time to explain to you at the moment. Your homework, PH is to work it out for yourself. If you havent got it by Xmas, which, based on the standard of your posts, is highly likely, I will be back to explain it to you.

Slooooowly, just for you!

Cheers

Seems Daz has said everything re your 'facts'.

At least you'll know you'll be warm and have a good xmas, PH. Lets all have a go at the ones that will be colder and less prosperous over the festive period. It's just what they need to make them feel better about themselves.
