Humane traps are easy to get, and always work for me. Can take a couple of days though.
Strange how my cats can get them outside, but are useless at getting them once they've brought them into the house!!annoyed!

Max - it's very nice of you to want to get rid of mice humanely, but they will probably meet a ghastly death in the mouth of a cat (who often love torturing them) or an owl or a Jack Russel or a Jane Russel (who had much nicer tits). You might as well use a good sturdy trap like the type that proper young ladies install up their skirts to thwart attempts by young rouges to grasp at their moist fruit scones.
Also, I have heard that snake poo (available from zoos if yer lucky) works to repel them. Either that or keep a couple of pythons as pets.

Worst idea ever. A cat will bring mice into the house, usually in pieces. And frogs. And birds, voles and anything else it can kill. Cats are a bloody curse.

Today I bought one of those ultra-sonic things that you plug into the mains, so I am hoping that will work. The place I put it is near to the areas where the little critter seems to hang out. Hopefully this high pitch sound, which is inaudible to humans and which the guy in the shop said 'drives them mad' will make him and any buddies he has clear off! I have an image in my mind of him and his gang creeping out of here in the middle of the night, walking single-file down the road and looking for somewhere else to invade!

I hate to tell you, but I bought a similar device for insects and all the little fuckers did, was get on their boogie shoes and dig the tones. The only people who got any benefit was the electric company.

I love you Max, we had a little mouse in one of our old houses it was living in an old chair. We used a humane trap with mars bar (I am told thats a particualr fav) and we caught two that way and released them into the wild and saw a third at the tip when we chucked the chair. Sorry to crash the boys club cave man vibe but I have alotof respect for you taking the time to try and do this without killing them.
Me and Satien saw a whole family of mice living at Amsertdamn airport, they helped us pass teh time while our flight was delayed.

I was out last night and never saw the mouse after I got home - I was up for a couple of hours after I came home. I haven't seen the dood tonight either, so hopefully my sonic device thingy is working!

Actually Max its quite possible the cheese has killed him.
Contrary to cartoon belief cheese is a no no for mice as chocolate is a no no for dogs. Eating cheese raises a mouses core body temperature to a point where it will go into shock and die.

Do it the old fashioned way and get a cat.
They catch them, play with them, kill them and eat them.... leaving only an inch or so of intestines for you to trod on in the dark
