Someone said on Radio 4 this morning..why not replace Rooney(or other 'names'),but nobody does...
Everyone believes he will do BETTER the next time around-but of course that never happens. They just grasp onto the old guard and hope everything will change the time the next match arrives.

Time for a real purge-not only players but management & FA rules.

Everyone has their day, forget names. We all get older and worn out.Sport is a very physical thing. Not for the faint hearted.

Perhaps this shock World Cup defeat will cause a complete re-build of the way football is handled in England and you might come back with a vengeance next time.

My team - the Socceroos were rubbish and were beaten by Germany 4 - 0. A comedian here said we should be proud to have held one of the world's greatest football teams to just 4 goals! New Zealand actually finished better than us (the little buggers often upstage us!).

Germany are crap at cricket by the way.

It does need a complete revamp and is actually a barometer for the whole country.

Get rid of the TWATS that run the F.A. for a start just like the banks & country !

Get rid of the League Cup - why have two cup competitions ?

Interesting comment on R5 the other day. Graham Taylor once saw Wayne Rooney* being interviewed, with the questions being of the quick-fire, this or that nature. World Cup win with England or Champions League win with Man U, he was asked. Champions League, he replied, without missing a beat.

Yesterday left me wondering how much better we would've played if any of Wales, Ireland and Scotland had qualified and made a good go of it. Pure fantasy, I know. But we're English. We're fuelled by pettiness. It might work, or we might treat it even more apathetically. Who knows.

*Thank you for not scoring. At all. Sixty quid. Get in. Unlike you.

GREAT to have the wags back leading our boys home from defeat.
More pictures of them in the RedTops, including a certain TV celeb, all beaming with delighted the money is still rolling in,and they will be rolling out of nightclubs early in the morning from a another night of binging.

Makes you feel proud of being English doesn't it.

Footie tottie, fast cars, new shoes, welcome home my little sweets.

I doubt they'd actually know what their hubbys do - they just know he makes loads of money and that's all that matters.....until it stops.
