Where's Bobby Robson in your list of great English managers ?

Last English manager in a top job (excluding Roy Evans at Liverpool) Roy Hodgson at Internazionale ?

Thats nonsense that any manager could go win at rangers or celtic. many have tried and failed.
You could put the greatest manager of all time in charge of any premiership team outside the top 4 and they wouldnt win the league
As for redknapp you call middle of the table or fighting relegation success??
Look at your best english managers look at scotlands its no contest

I don't recollect him winning a major league title or the european cup - dutch and portuguese championships aren't that high ranking, there's only three teams of repute in both leagues.

a very good manager yes, fantastic bloke, but he didn't achieve an english, italian, german or spanish title and he never won the european cup - so his achievements don't make him "great" in my personal opinion.

You're saying Terry Venables is great because he won La Liga and took Barca to a European Cup final ?

John Barnes ... biggest failure in club management ever!! But obviously you haven't got a clue what you are talking about so go back to talking about your ultra competitive 2 or 3 league team that is the premership and the lads n lasses that know a thing or two can talk about the SPL.

Defo McLeish,

Karren Brady hates him and he won't get a lot of time! I think McLeish is a decent manager though, he just went to a woeful team!

he'll be given a chance because he plays 'the right kind of football' ie attacking football like Mowbray did at West Brom. Plus nobody really expected Burnley to get promoted, so i don't think he will be sacked.

It's funny how, though people compare the Scottish & English league's, cause Owen Coyle was in charge of St. Johnstone for 3 years in the first division in Scotland and never managed promotion, yet he went to Burnley and did it at the first time of asking?
