He's also a performer.

Good point JJ. I'm pretty baffled by the response to this thread thus far . . .

Ben English, a prominant UK porn actor and agent, clearly wealthy and successful, undoubtedly known to many people on the forums here - I was just interested to know if he was a decent bloke or not . . .

For some reason nobody thus far has made comment on him as a person, is he really totally american-based these days and so no-one in the UK porn community knows him as an individual anymore? I don't think so . . .

I'm being to wonder if he has family in Sicily with all the deafening silence around us! Is he the new "untouchable"?

It just seems strange that you're asking questions like this. Asking if he's a 'nice bloke' and the mentioning of 'parasites'; the questioning his choice of girlfriends, etc......

You then get baffled because no one's saying too much. Maybe not many know him that well; he's been performing in the US for going on 10 years now and this is the OT forum where there's not that much interest in male studs. What were you expecting, a glorious ass-kissing session or widespread condemnation of the man?

I don't remember questioning his choice of girlfriends.

If he's not professional enough to keep his business as an agent apart from his personal relationships, then that's his prerogative!

Well I appear to have got an arse kissing response anyway without knowing beforehand if the folks on here would be ambivalent, positive or negative towards the man.

Questioning his professionalism (lack of) pretty much amounts to the same thing. It was you who mentioned his previous partners without any encouragement from us and you said his relationships were inappropriate, after all.

Let's be honest: You know his name and stage name, how he makes his money, where he's residing and the names of past girlfriends he's had, so why the interest in his personality too?

I get the feeling that you're trying to dig up a little dirt, that's all. It was you who mentioned 'parasite', 'inappropriate' and 'unprofessional'; little tit-bits for people to pick up and run with.

I don't buy that you're just a curious voyeur who wants to know a little more about their favourite male stud (you don't sound too excited/horny), nor some director who wants to know how he performs (he's a veteran performer and easy to contact). That leaves me with a few options: either you're wanting to know because you've a girlfriend/friend who's thinking of going to LA, let Derek represent them and you want to find out if he's trustworthy, or you're a dirt-digger because you have something against him. Forever the cynic, I'm leaning towards the latter.

cynicism is hardly a trait! at least you're aware of it though, that may yield a glimmer of hope for you to overcome it yet.

I've seen a few of his US titles [mostly with Michelle Barratt,
for reasons which I assume will be obvious] and he seems a
fairly decent performer. I assumed he was British from the crassly
obvious nom de guerre.

Other than that, I have little interest in stunt-cocks.
Sorry, was that unintentionally rude? I meant meat-puppets : -)
