Dan, I dont think the footballers you mention were messed up by football as such, just by the fact they came into money quickly and had a lot of adulation and people wanting to know them. They couldn't handle it. It is no differnt to what happens to a lot of rockstars and some actors. From nothing to a bulging bank account and people wanting to know you, screws you up whatever industry you are in - so the fact they are footballers I believe is incidental. In the case of porn it is the fact (in my view) that because they are being paid to have sex and loads of people watch, and this is hardly going to please their family, friends, or wider society, I think that is what messes them up. They have kind of 'crossed to the dark side'. I mean, it is hardly what the careers advisor at school would have recommended as a career option is it?

...and all of that came about because they were professional footballers, as opposed to amateur/Sunday League footballers.

They couldn't handle it. It is no differnt to what happens to a lot of rockstars and some actors. From nothing to a bulging bank account and people wanting to know you, screws you up whatever industry you are in - so the fact they are footballers I believe is incidental.

Which would tend to suggest that it is in fact money which screws people up.

Again, this is a double standard about porn which irritates me no end. Do you honestly think that Gwyneth Paltrow or some bird who presents Blue Peter has never sucked a cock or had sex in her lifetime? Newsflash! People are having sex...and they've been doing it for quite a few years now too, apparently. Sometimes, people have sex with people that their parents friends and family don't approve of. They might also get piercings, tattoos and other stuff which their folks don't like. Guess what? It's called being an adult and making decisions for yourself!

The fact that pornstars get paid to participate in the production of a media product which the producers fully intend to sell on for a profit apparently makes them fucking whores.

If they did it for free, I'd say they were fucking idiots.

At the end of the day, whilst I love horror and violent martial arts/action movies, I'd say non-extreme porn is inherently more morally justifiable than either of the aforementioned film genres. Two people having sex is a lot less offensive than two people killing each other, right?

"Two people having sex is a lot less offensive than two people killing each other, right?"

There's a massive double standard about this. Travel the length and breadth of the country and you'll see more statues celebrating the deeds of people involved in wars than you will celebrating the deeds of people fucking. Some of these are more solemn 'remembrance' type statues and cenotaphs etc but i'd say the majority celebrate the deeds of people who 'made history' and 'established the empire' etc which tended to involve killing a lot of people in the process.

It's not something we're comfortable with, nevertheless it's seen as virtuous behaviour in its way.

No; they're messed-up b4 they get into porn. The industry's
callousness just exacerbates the problems.
OTOH there are thousands of perfectly sane people in the industry...
but off-hand I can't think of any examples : -))

Sex fucks people up. Period! Sex, religion and to some extent race and politics. Just add sex to drugs and whatever problem there was out of that is trebled.

Porn just highlights the hypocrisies of the world.

I've not heard anything from any of the stars here!!! I know a lot of them post, but any question like this they normally don't answer, especially the females?

i know that there must be drugs in the porn business, but thats probably true for most professions. But are the drugs the sole reason for fucking people up. Would be interested to know how many actual pornstars are on drugs! And are they doing porn to fund their habit or staying in porn to fund their habit. Or do they just do drugs anyway and the porn is seperate. And did they get into drugs through porn? Would be interested to find out the answers to these questions. And also how many pornstars are escorting. And do they differentiate this from their Porn Career! Also do they do this to help fund drug habits. And how do male performers feel about working with performers who are Escorts! Probably nobody will answer any of these!!!

meatus, here's something odd: a lot of girl pornstars would be against escorting because that is basically being a 'lady of the night' but they view porn as not being that because it is on camera. Both involve sex for money but the girls view it differntly.

Why do so many of them do it then?

And they work with so many other adult performers, so why do said performers work with them, if they think that they are 'Lady's of the Night' and that both are completely different?
