.... I'm on the cusp of enjoying it more this year as i'm pregnant, so know that my christmas's are about to change!

Yes, i think it's definitely over rated and it seems to be all about money (and greed). The shops really don't need to start selling decs and cards in Sept.. All the fun seems to have gone.

However, I am pregnant with our first child as we speak, so its something new this year.. and next, I'll have a little baby girl/boy to entertain.

The perfect xmas would be a big build up, snow, no stress, the perfect day with your family, no work!!, and santa :-)... and presents!

Hope you all have a geat christmas

My dad and brother both died around xmas time - so has always been a time of year with mixed emotions. It ruins the xmas period for many years after and you never really get back into it.

We call it Deathcember in my family for the same- and more-reasons. My mother passed away on Millennium Eve.

Everybody dies, and there is a chance of over eight per cent that it will take place in December.

To avoid celebrating Christmas this year simply because a family member happened to die last December, or in December of some other year, cannot be good for one's mental equilibrium. Indeed, it indicates a maladjustment thereof.

I think as soon as your past the age of 12 it doesnt mean much.

I think if I had a family with youngsters it would mean somthing but seeing as I dont the only good things about xmas/new year period is the few days off.
I dont work in the type of job that the company goes on shut down.

Then there is the cost of getting presants for family. If youve got the type of family I have then you resent buying the tossers anything over ?1 cause thats the value of presants you will be getting in return.

It wont be much to celebrate this year as there is not so much money to be made, the tills at planeterotica are not ringing to loudly at the moment, but may i be the first to wish a very happy christmas and a prosperous new year for us all, wishfull thinking !wink!
