Ah, Huntelaar...

The next RVN. He's scored 70 goals in 82 games for Ajax. If Man Utd add a proper striker to their attack, with Huntelaar's height that'll be another string to their bow. I think he'll do well in the Premiership too; all Dutch players adapt well to our game.

Huntelaar is also compared to the once great Dutch striker Marco Van Basten.Feeds well off wingers and midfielders, and can create chances himself.Has a leathal shot power, good in the air too.

A good tip to be player of the tournament.Sam Slater wrote:

ah yes, Marco Van Basten.........pure class, always thought he was better than both Gullit and Rijkaard when they turned out for the same team

I was Van Basten in the playground! I don't think you can compare the two yet though.

I've created a BGAFD league for EURO 2008 if any of the usual suspects are interested

Van Basten was a wonderful player, and had the potential to be remembered in the same way Pele, Cruyff and Maradona are---but that career-ending injury robbed us.

Van Basten is currently the Dutch national coach, and has brought his idea of 'total football' to the team, has a attacking mentality and compared Huntelaar to himself.Expect to see the Dutch line up in a 4-3-3 formation with Van Persie in a 3 pronged attack with RVN and Huntelaar, with Robben and Babel powering up the wings.Defence may be the Dutch's weakness, but they have a reliable keeper in Van Der Saar.

Possible finalists, narrowly losing to the Germans.

That sounds more like 4-1-5! !shocked!

I can't see Robben & Babel tracking back.

Not so much tracking back as they have a good DM in Wesley Sneijder who can break down any problems in Midfield,a bit like what Makelele does for Chelsea and Mascherano for Liverpool. The Oranje have never believed in defence anyway. We'll score one more than you,and all that.

Reason why i reckon the Dutch will be the most entertaining team, along with their Orange clad fans !happy!

I've just set up my team for the league. How anyone on this forum can have a team without a goalkeeper call Quim is beyond me.
