I'm sure no-one here would begrudge footballers a decent wedge (say 130 grand a year, which ain't to be sneezed at) or even - for the top players - a VERY decent wedge (say 130 grand a month).
But that sort of money a WEEK is fucking obscene and totally out of any sense of reason or rationality (yes, you could argue the same about other sports / professions, but we're talking about footballers here so I'm sticking to footballers).
It's also taking the piss out of the paying public - the ones who are still able to afford to pay to pass through the turnstiles every week, that is.
And mucho: Yes they may be "entitled" to it. But that still doesn't make it morally right.
