Well you have'nt heard it from me before, and it was an honest opinion from someone who's had the misfortune to endure G.S.H. several times whilst waiting for the main act to show, so you can just kiss my a$$ matey!!

Well back in the 80's G.S.H. was well & truly the support act...maybe he finally got musical later in his career tho'

Gil made a song called "Word To The Gangster Rapper" in the early 1990s and that's a hard song to find these days.

There was a programme about GSH on BBC4 a while back. Among the interesting trivia was the fact that his father played for Glasgow Celtic !
On the subject of drugs he was very honest and took things one day at a time. Of his addiction he said something like 'Sometimes it whups my ass, other times I win' which I think is a much more realistic picture than the one that sees people checking into rehab for a couple of weeks and being 'cured'. It might be that simple for a minority, but for most it's probably a journey rather than a destination.
