I thought it was absolutely brilliant.
I wasn't a fan of the new 'Who' until this current series, but a massive fan of the 'classic' series.
I agree that RTD normally makes a pigs ear out of the series finales, but this one looks very good. Next week will tell.

Every problem in the series gets solved by waving the ever present sonic screwdriver about, need a resolution to the previous 42minutes of running around and pop culture references just knock up a gadget (using the screwdriver of course) and theirs your ending.
Of course it keeps getting used throughout the rest of the program repeatledly for just about everything else.

I`m not a huge fan of RTD`s work but he did the last episode with the return of the master perfectly. I do just wish he`d stop concentrating on earth. The new series is a lot better than the shitty Fox Telemovie, you know the one where is seemed no one had watched a fucking episode of the show beforehand.
The new series could be a lot worse

Totally agree about the RTD episodes and standard of writing.
I think once he had lost the rose character that hes been unsure as where to go next with the series.
As much as i love daleks they were wasted in the new york episodes and im unsure about his attempted master comeback, but maybe he'l prove me wrong next week.
At least hes moved away from this obsession with cardiff and sarah jane smith.
