Not really a word, more of an action but highly used at my school. Push tongue down between bottom lip and bottom teeth and make a durrrr sound.

Used to do that, but our variation was you did the action and shouted 'spaz!'. (making sure you dribbled saliva down your chin at the same time.

Oh the cruelty!

FLID!!!!!!!! (complete with the arm movements)

I read somewhere that The Spastics Society changed ther name to Scope to try and break away from the 'Spaz' tag..

Little did they know kids would just start using the word 'Scopies' instead!!

Haven't heard the word 'jamrag' in ages.

There was always the kid at school who wasn't allowed to swear incase his brother told on him, so was totally out of his depth when it came to insults. The one I remember most was when we wound him up to the point where he snapped, and called someone a "piggin' idiot". So from then on, he was laughed at even more. Didn't help that he was a cheapo scav-bag aswell.

Yeah flid! While bending your wrists back!

I'd still do it in Tesco's if I could.

you have to pull your knees up inside your jumper so only your feet are sticking out then pull your arms into your sleeves and roll around in the middle of the aisle.
Either that or do what I do when I want to embarass my partner in tesco's, advanced skidding (next step up from on the knees) get a run up then hurl yourself down the aisle and see how far you can slide on your front, it can hurt though if you mis-time it.

I remember when I was about 13 and the baggier fitting jeans started coming back in with the longer berghaus coats.

There'd be a gang of about 10 of us and we'd all pull our jeans right down to just above the knee, pulling our arms inside the coat with just our hands sticking out.

We just looked like long bodies flidamites and we'd all get on the bus like that. The looks we got were awsome.

In around 1983, 84 or 85 I remember a white school boy asked another one "have someone ever called you a 'dweeb'? ". Back in the late 1970s we used to say "that's dead!" meaning something was out of style or no longer done.
