Well the winners write the history,however in this case they probally under exaggerated how bad he was.
But what is forgotten is that by today's standards most of the people involved in that epoch would be in the Hague today.
Stalin murdered 20 million,about double Hitler,but do it quietly in Siberia,then it's ok.My wife's grandfather was amongst them..his crime,living near the old polish Frontier.
As for the west,well firebombing a plenty of recognised civillian areas wasn't redeamable even then,lies were told in parliament,and in public on numerous occasions...why lie if you have justice on your side?
Nuff said,Hitler by any name,including Heinz etc was a bad guy.but he came from an era of nastiness,a product of his time,as much as a product of his mind.
