You know somebody mentioned that earlier here on a talk radio station that if the professors were armed maybe so many wouldn't have been killed.

I wonder how long America is going to put up with college kids getting shot up on campus before it outlaws the ownership of guns.

I thought we had it bad in recent weeks with the latest shootings, stabbings amongst our youths then america always has to do it bigger and better with 33 dead on the same day in a university!!!!!!!!

How long wil they let this go on before they seriously review their laws on gun ownership. Thing is its all too little too late.

What's even worse is that like some on here, America will think it better that students and lecturers carry their own guns around campus, to 'protect' themselves. !shocked!

The idiocy of some is incredible, and amazes me everyday.

I'm sorry to generalise, but there seems to be a significant proportion of US citizens who are seriously paranoid, think the bad guys are waiting for them at each street corner and the FBI et al are planning on raiding their homes to take their guns away.

Normally, in rows, things work their way up----angry words, slapping, punching etc. In some parts of the US, it's straight to DEFCON1 and produce the gun---even if it's something as minor as a traffic shunt. And that kind of mentality is beginning to filter into this country as well. All these knivings and shootings in London recently are examples of the disproportionate response.

I agree with most on here, its time to ban guns everywhere in america.

It is clear that the Americans are half mad. Yesterday I saw news footage of adults showing little kids how to fire high powered rifles! I rest my case....

I never saw that program, but what I saw yesterday looked as if they groom their kids to be gun fanatics! But we have to remember that, in this case, it seems as though the crap in question wasn't American, but rather some Oriental fresh off the boat.

Yeah have to agree that the notion that if "responsible" Students and Teachers are allowed to have guns on campus it would somehow stop this stuff from happening is quite frankly laughable. It would obviously lead to more shootings and killings and probably all out gun war.
It is also worth mentioning how we Brits do tend to generalise Americans yet when the yanks do the very same to us Brits we are up in arms about it (ok not the best phrase I guess).
