After scoring the winner against Liverpool, Mourinho dropped Joe Cole from the Chelsea team for not putting in enough effort. It took Cole several weeks to get back in, and once he was back in, he stopped pissing about and started creating chances for others as well as defending when needed. The show-boating pretty much stopped.
Shame Sven didn't have the balls to do that with Cole, Lampard and Beckham this tournament... but then what do you expect from a man who has shown himself to be only interested in his personal financial well-being all his career.
I'm sure Blackburn Rovers fans well remember how, after accepting their offer to manage them, changed his mind at the last minute when another club offered him a better contract.
The FA has wasted ?25m and 5 years on this spineless cunt!
Any chance of suing him under the trades descriptions act? Any chance of suing the FA for incompetence? Anybody got a gun they could lend David Dein so that he can do the honourable thing? (Of course, someone will have to explain the notion of the word "honour" to him first!)
Is it too late for the FA to change their minds and offer the job to Gus Hiddink?
